With Gratitude

Happy tuesday!
This sweet card is part of this month's paper pumpkin
kit. The images on the cardstock colors were so faint
in color that I used the stampin write markers to add
a little more vibrance to the images.

I topped the pumpkins off with a little glitter and popped them
up with the dimensionals.

Makes for a simple card to send for the upcoming
Thanksgiving season, or just to let someone
know you are thankful for them.

Zebra grass

Happy sunday,
I have this massive wonderful zebra bush in my yard.
Upon cutting it back a few years ago, I found that they
dry into these amazing plumes.

Up close it looks like this, with little light green stripes.

You can see the "grass" that grows from the leaves,
they are very silky.

Here is what they look like cut, they almost have a pink tone to them,
but after just two days they dry out and turn into.....

THIS!
beautiful plumes in a more taupe color!

Now, go find a zebra bush or if you have one,
cut the plumes and let them dry.
These are so pretty for the fall season.

Decoupaged proseco bottle

My last post was the get away for my gf's birthday,
I had some questions on how to make the covered champagne bottles.
Choose any bottle you can cover.

Find a napkin pattern you like and be sure and peel away the second layer of the napkin.
Grab some Modge Podge and a sponge brush.
As you work to cover the bottle, cut pieces almost as if you are puzzle piecing it together.  I cut pieces that fit the area I was working on then just cut small pieces to fit left over.  As you piece it together you will find you won't see any seams or areas as you work.

Once completed, let dry overnight.
I added the cutie little bow to the front to tie it all together.

Weekend in the mountains

It was a BOW-tiful weekend celebrating our dear friend
Ceri's birthday in the mountains.
It was unusually warm for fall, upper 80's, we thought it would be
a fallish weekend, but we had great warm weather!

I made up this cute wrapped bottle of prosecco covered with bows
and a tiny one on the front and a matching pink bag.

There were bows everywhere!
Her favorite colors are pink and hot pink.

We were able to get in a few hikes/walks.

Beautiful gallery

This is another fun fold I have tried, and this dsp
beautiful gallery is all scenes.  When you cut
up this paper is takes away from the the gorgeous
paper.  This cut and fold make it possible to not
cut up the design.

This card is a basic cut card at 4 1/2" x 10 1/2"
folded in half then you cut the one half of the
card at 2 3/4".
When you apply the paper you will fill the bottom
piece and the side piece to continue the scene.

Add your greeting to the overlay piece and there you have it.

Perfectly Pears

Hello and happy wednesday~
I am back with the bridge card and to show you what it looks like using another stamp set.  This one is the dsp and paper called
"perfectly pears"  the colors are so tropical and pretty.

I cut out a few of the flowers to attach to the pear.

I added some yellow marker to the green pear once I stamped it and used the little dots in the stamp set to the pear to give it a more authentic look.

Here's another version with a slightly different dsp
from the same paper set.

Which do you like better?

I wanted to show you some ideas with the new dsp paper as well and this fun card design.  This is the last halloween one I promise!
I just felt like this paper was so cute and has so many cute little pieces to work with.

There are so many other pieces I didn't even get to show you or

Which one has been your favorite?
If you try one please send me a picture, love to see what you're making.

Halloween bridge card #3

Happy saturday!
Back with some more of the bridge card making.
This paper is beyond cute and so whimsical.

You can't help but make a cute card with all the cutouts
that are ready to slap right onto the card.
I keep using a bunch of my retired halloween
greeting stamps as I feel the catalog doesn't have a lot
to pick from in terms of variety.
So,  if you have the new stamps of course use them,
but if not, check out your retired stash.
Always good to use what we have.

Again, if you missed how to make this bridge card refer
to my post a few back to find the instructions.
Have a fun weekend!

Halloween bridge card

Happy tuesday!
Here's a fun new card fold going around called the bridge fold.
You can use this card fold for any type of card or design you like.
I happen to choose Halloween! Are you not suprised?

I used the new dsp paper called "spooky sweet"

I added some glitter to the bubbling over cauldron.
Here's how this fold is made...

Cut your cardstock at 10' x 4 1/4"
score at each end at 2 1/4', fold each end

choose the coordinating dsp paper to go on each end of the card,
cut those two pieces at 2'x4' and attach to card as you see in pic.
Cut yourself a piece of white paper for the insert of the card,
it will be cut at 4' x 5 1/4'.
Now for the bridge piece, which in this picture is the orange and small white piece cut at 2' x 3 3/4'. layer them on top of each other.
Assemble your card and add your images and greetings.
Send me your pics!  I'd love to see what you do!
I am also going to try this fold with some Christmas cards, so I will be sharing those with you too later.
Have fun creating!
