Diy Pumpkin

Well,  I think this will be my last Halloween post
for you for the month.
I found this long witches hat garland at Michael's craft store.
You can see how easy it was to remove the hats, they are
glued lightly to a piece of ribbon.  It made it easy to remove them.

There are 8 hats on each garland and they cost $3.50
They are felt in black and orange.

You might remember these cute pumpkins I picked up  last year

from Dollar Tree (they have them this year too)

I thought it would be cute to add the withes hats

How easy is this diy?
I mean all you need to do is glue the hat on!
I did add a little spider onto the hat.

Do you do a Halloween dinner for your family?
We've done one every year since they were 2.
It is different every dinner every year!
Happy Halloween!!!

JOY

So I picked up this JOY sign at Hobby Lobby, but in looking at it I really wanted the JOY to be landscape instead of portrait.

So I got it home and decided to take it apart, it has these teeny tiny
nails holding it together so it was easy to take apart.

You can see in the picture the little nails, using
my hammer I was able to remove them.

Easy!  Now to reconstruct!

Using some wood glue and a few clamps I glued it back together
in landscape form and added some mini pine cones and berries.
So I could hang it I also added the twine.
Turned out pretty cute!
Don't be afraid to buy something and change it up a bit!
I think I paid $3.00 for this on sale.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but it a pretty good size sign.
I have plans to add it to one of those Tobacco baskets.
Stayed tuned to see that!

Auntie's Spooky House

I thought it would be fun to share my Aunt's Linda's Spooky House.
She is known in Magnolia for her Halloween Home where before
covid she had open tours in and outside of her home.
She decorates the ENTIRE house inside and out and many people come to see her as she walks them through the tour as the "Ghostess"
instead of Hostess!
When you leave the tour she hands you a "dearly departed gift"
Her Spooky house has been published in the local Magonlia newspaper and she has since published a Halloween book sold at the Magnolia bookstore!
( I am so proud of her!)
Here is just a small taste of this year's Spooky House!
Muuuuuuwaaaahhhh!   Enjoy!

Family out front carving pumpkins and a mini costume party on the grass!

This skeleton dog sits in her car on the steering wheel with the keys in his mouth!   This would detour anyone from trying to steal her car!!!

Cat Lady bathroom
there are cats everywhere!

Interactive toy box
and creepy baby

Hopefully I did not scare you with this post!
This is just a very small sampling of her
her home,  I wish you could see it all!
She is truly talented and loves Halloween!
Hope you had fun taking a peek~

Halloween Wreath

Happy Thursday!
Bringing you back a post back from July,
This super easy Dollar Tree Halloween wreath.
I saw these wreath's and knew I had to make one.
I had everything on hand to make this.

You can use any type of base to make this, a wire wreath,
a grapevine wreath, I used a styrofoam one as that
is what I had on hand.
You also need a paperback book, some twine,
scissors, a glue gun and some spanish moss and plastic spiders.
All of these items can be found at the Dollar Tree

start by having your glue gun heated and ready to use.
First start by tearing out a page of the book and folding
it into a triangle attach it starting anyhwere on your
wreath using your glue gun to adhere it to your wreath.
Should look like below;

The next step is to tear pages out of the book and roll as many as you can.  ( I watch shows while I do this) after rolling one
use a very small piece of scotch tape to hold it together.
I think I rolled about 25 of them.
Once rolled take your twine and tie three together.
Start anywhere on the wreath and add the rolls going around
the wreath.

Keep going.....

and going...... it actually goes quickly

Okay, mine is covered, here comes the fun part.
Now add as much of the spanish moss in the spaces
that are empty, you can see them in my photo.

You can follow what I've done or add as much as you like.
I then added just three of the plastic spiders, then the crow.

All done!
Now I have to put it away for a few months.....
now onto some Christmas ideas!  just kidding...

Nevermore vibe......
You could change it up a bit and add pumpkins
instead of crows or anything else that you might like
in your Halloween decor.

Your creations

Well, this truly is why I do this......
to inspire YOU!
This just makes me HAPPY!
These are some photos of the creations YOU
guys have created based on ideas or posts
I have shown you.
In the picture above Susan printed out the Boo y'all print onto
basic cardstock to create this really spooktacular framed art!
Look at all the details she added!

She also tried her hand at the little gnomes I had posted
from a creative weekend a few weeks back.
So cute!  and that black wood bead garland.... love it!

Remember the cement pumpkins?
Well look at the ones that have been made...
Above is Jackie's,  it almost looks pearlescent.
Her porch is so cute!

In this picture Terri diy'ed the painted pumpkin and cement pumpkin for her front porch. Loved how she stacked them on the pedestal.
I am just loving seeing them all done up and they all look different!

And this one!
Look how Liz added her metal black cat behind her cement pumpkin!
You guys killed it!
So love seeing what you are trying and making, please send me any pics of what you try.  I love sharing them!

Pumpkin Patch

Howdy from Knutson's Farm in Sumner!
I'm sure many of you can relate......
Covid has kept us from so many that we love and today
I took a trip down to the south end to see one of my sisters.
I miss her and my extended family so much, as I am sure
many of you do too.  It's been so hard not being able to see everyone.

We went to this cute farm in Sumner called Knutsen's farm.
So cute!
They had so much to do for the entire family and had everything very
safe and distanced.  We showed up wearing our masks and kept them on except for a few photos.
Who needs kids to go to the pumpkin patch!

There is never a dull moment with this one!
I sooo appreciated all the much needed laughter today!

I found this pumpkin stem and boy the laughs that
came out of it created such fun!
HOWDY!

They had so many cute little photo op areas, but something
you don't think about,   you can really ask anyone to take
your photo for you anymore!
So we weren't able to get pics together except at the end we
decided to take a quick selfie together.

Moments like this are priceless.......
love you sis....
