Port Gamble

Using some frames I found at a garage sale I created these vintage Halloween pictures.
Someone gave me these vintage halloween postcards some time ago so it was time to use them up.

kinda spooky!

Here they are in all there spookiness!

Today my girl and I decided to take an adventure.
We have so many island close to home, so we hopped the Edmonds/Kingston ferry to Kingston and Port Gamble.

Port Gamble is the cutest little town!
It's on the shore of Hood Canal and a National Historic landmark
with turn of the century buildings, this beautiful historic church and gorgeous views of the water.

here's the view from main street over looking the water

Grown with Love

As hot as it's been, I still feel fall in the air!
This new large background stamp Tree Rings looks so amazing stamped.   I used the stamps in the Grown with Love
to create the pot filled with pumpkins.
I had some moss in my bins and added to the top of the pot..

Restore your wood

This is one of my bathrooms
I love to decorate with all the natural woods that are available in home decor right now, but the wood can loose it's beauty pretty quick.  Especially if in kept in the bathroom or kitchen with all the added moisture.
See the cute wood tray above to the left of the counter?

This is the picture of the little tray "after" I gave it a olive oil bath

Here is my little tray before

all water marked and stained

Now how to easily get it nice and shiny and purrty again?
Start with any olive oil, and a paper towel.
That easy,  start wiping the piece with a little bit of oil, rub it all over the piece and set on some wax or parchment paper to soak in.

And look at this!
all done and beautiful again!

Pocketful of Sunshine

Well, I only thought it would be fitting to make a sunglass card with today being the total eclipse.
I hope you are able to view the grand spectacle.
I was able to score a pair of eclipse glasses from my husbands work.  I plan on watching and taking pictures.

I used the sunglass stamp from the Pocketful of Sunshine
stamp set for this card.

Pocketful of Sunshine

I promised to post how to make these fun jean pockets.
Above are another set I made using these cute peace sign charms that were given to me.  (thanks Carol!)

I filled them with some cute flowered post it notes and added white tissue paper.

these peace sign charms are so cute!

Here are the pieces you need
stamp and cut yourselves two of the pockets, but before you cut them out, using a pencil draw the side flaps. I just hand drew them.
Also cut the handle and the body of the pocket and score where I listed.

I just hand drew the flaps

Using the permanent Tombow glue, glue the pieces together.  Lastly glue the handle to the inside of the pocket.

Floral Statements

How would you like a super easy card to make this monday morning?
This is a new stamp set called Floral Statements.  It has two good sized stamps in it, one thank you and the other hello.

Starting with whisper white cardstock I stamped the sentiment right in the center with archival black ink, then continued to stamp the sentiment all over the rest of the cards.  Super easy!

Then choosing from our new in color line of ink I used the Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves and Powder Pink for the rose on  the thank you card and Soft Sky ink for the hello card.
I applied the ink by using the Aqua Painters
You could even add some ribbon to the card, I personally just wanted it as simple as you see it.
Give it a try!
