Easter Decor around my house

Wow!  it's friday already!  I don't know about you all but this week has been uber' busy and fast!  I have had emails from my followers asking what decorations I have out for Easter.   Well I am flattered!  I really don't have much up or out this season due to lack of time.  But what I do have out is my favorite of course,  anything Vintage looking.  So here's to your requests for my silly decor!  These are just a few of my favorite pieces.   I am going to also post a project I promise!  hopefully later today as I am working on it right now.   Also, don't forget it is the last two days of Sale-a-Bration so if you were thinking about signing up to be on my team and with the Stampin Up! family now is the time.  Remember, $125.00!  that is it to start a fun new venture and come craft with me!  FREE products too!

Easter Polka Dotted Nails and Spring Arrangement

Thought I would share these cute polka dotted nails I did on Shaelyn's fingers,  she received this cute neon kit of nail polish from her friend Sydnee, so we went to town on Easter nails!  They are sooo colorful and cheery!

I cannot wait for spring to really arrive!  I went outside and got some Forsithia, Pussy Willows and (fake!) Afician Violets and put them in this cute yellow vase and added a little bird to make this arrangement, okay Spring make your way here!

Burlap Happy Purse

Good morning!  I decided to make a purse to put the Burlap Happy Notecards into.  If you scroll down further I will give you instructions.

Supplies:
One piece of cardstock 5 3/4 x 11'
Two pieces of cardstock 4 1/8 x 4 3/4
Two pieces of cardstock  1  x  11'
Score at 3/4, 5 1/4', 6', and 10 1/2'
Turn cardstock and then score at 5'
Now fold up purse and it should look like this, make  sure and cut the tabs at the bottom.

You can now take a circle  or oval punch to punch the sides of the purse,  I sued the large oval punch.

Now cut our your desired DSP or cardstock, the two pieces that are 4 1/8' x 4 3/4'.  I used the whisper white and crumb cake.  Now if you are going to stamp like I have you will stamp the images BEFORE you run it through the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Attached to the front and back of purse and add the two handles sizes : 1' x 11'.   I adhered them with the Vintage Brads.

Have fun making this,  you can come up with all kinds of occassions for this purse and it will hold the four notes plus envelopes.   So fun!

Burlap Happy

I found this cute burlap jar at TJ Maxx this week,  I just love all the burlap decor that is available at stores everything from Home Decorating with burlap, interior accents, burlap is everywhere and can be used for all occassions.  So,  in light of my love for burlap I was inspired by this little jar to create some simply stated "burlap looking:" cards. They are very simplistic but I like how they turned out.  It is hard to see the rhinestones that I attached to each card but they give them that extra something.  They look much richer in hand that in the photos.....

The crown is from Artisitic Etchings and the flourish is from Best Friends Forever

The bird is from Nature Walk

The Bee is from Nature Walk

Chocolate Easter Egg

I had to get out the Everday Enchantment paper one last time!  Yes,  if you haven't purchased any now is the time
as March 31st is the last day of Sale-A-Bration where you can get this beautiful paper for free!  I decided to make a card with a chocolate easter egg on it.  I used the Big Shot Oval Die to create the egg and then ran it through the polka dot embossing folder. Then wrapped it with the Calypso Coral ribbon and added the little white flower.  Super easy!

On another note,  to all my New York followers how do you feel about getting Tim Tebow on your Jets team! Just thought I would throw that out there this morning since I LOVE football! (and Basketball too)  Have a great day!

We started our morning off with some chocolate chip green St. Patricks Day waffles with strawberries and whip cream, a bit much, but the kids loved it!   Then off to Snowshoeing while the guys and teens headed up the mountain for the first Snowmobile run of the day.  As you can see it was just spectacular up there.  Beeeutiful!

Bunny Beans

Switching over to designing some things for Easter.  Here are a cute pair of bunnies for you to try.  I have made one a boy and one a girl so that I can make some for my daugher's classroom.  All you need is a 2'circle punch, a scallop oval punch, ribbon, jelly beans, 3x4 cello bags, for the face I used a retired stamp set "Funny Faces", (yes I know I shouldn't have!) If you don't have this set all you need to do is draw on the face with a black stampin write maker.  I used the Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon and the Pretty in Pink ribbon for the bows for each bunny..  I also took the sponge dauber with pretty in pink ink lightly shaded the ears and cheeks.  I hope you have fun making these!  xoxo

Here are the two pieces you need

St Patrick's Day Dog and Dog House

Here's one of the project that I had the kid's make at my recent kid's stamp club.  I saw this dog on Splitcoast and had to try him out.  He is attached to his Dog house.    The kid's had fun punching out al the pieces and putting it together.  The dog house is our Fancy Favor Big Shot die upside down that I added a roof to.  I ran the roof  thru the big shot using the Square lattice embossing folder for texture.  I gave each of the girl's a anti bacterial soap from Bath and Body works to put inside. They turned out really cute!
