Happy Halloween!

Muuuuuuwaaaaaah!
Happy Halloween!
One of my very best favorite days of the year!
This Halloween house is my girlfriends house, she has been
carving these large 50+lb pumpkins for over 25 years now.
I just love this tradition.

A little closer look for you, these pumpkins
are ginormous!
Isn't this amazing!

Check this house out!
They created these wood silhouettes
and   put them in front of these trees that
are in full fall color.  They added some other
lighting to give it off this firey image.
So effective!

And this house! these two houses are in my neighborhood.
The witch, and then that broom just tops it off!

This house had thee plastic skeleton on every
fence post.

Just wanted to share some spooky fun for this
Halloween!
Hope ya'll had a fang-tas-tic day!

Peaceful Place

Comin' atcha this morning with some cozy peaceful
Christmas cards.
These pieces are from this month's Paper Pumpkin.
The fun thing about these kits are all the extra pieces
you have to create even more cards.

The little cabins I cut out are from the designer series
paper called Peaceful Place.

The little banners were in the kit as well,
they are red on one side and white on the other.
I used some greenery that I had on hand that
I made into an oval.  Using hot glue
I adhered it to the card stock and then
glued the little cabin on top.

I dusted the trees with some glitter.
I'm getting excited for the holidays now!

Peaceful Christmas

Another take on the Paper pumpkin Peaceful Christmas.
I used the pieces from the kit and also added
the background paper from the designer series paper called
Peaceful Place.

Designer series paper Peaceful Place #156394

PEACEFUL PLACE 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

It doesn't take much to make a great card
with paper that is this pretty.
I added some glitter to the trees to give
it a winter wonderland effect.

Add a little silver cording and you have an easy
christmas card.
Enjoy!

Peaceful Christmas: Paper Pumpkin October 2021

This month's paper pumpkin this silvery and snowy kit will have you at the gorgeous paper included in it.  With a flocked and frosted forest feel, sprinkles of silver snow and warm winter wishes will have you ready to create 10 beautiful Christmas cards already made and ready to send for the holiday.    Take a look at the video to see what's included in the kit and how easy it is to put these cards together.
The kit comes with everything you need to get creative to make these cards.

As always,  I love to make an alternative cards to the ones in the kit to spur on my own creativity, but to also show you how you can change up the kit if you like.

This paper is so rich in gray tones, it's hard to tell in the picture,
but it's silvery and snowy.
I stamped the little cabin from the stamp set called
Reflected in Nature
REFLECTED IN NATURE CLING STAMP SET

I stamped the image in basic gray and
cut it out to attach to the front.
This is a super easy card, just add a saying.

You can always level up your cards if you prefer more
on them.  You could add ribbon to the side or glitter or rhinestone
to the snow.

If you haven't ordered a paper pumpkin kit give it a try!
You can choose one month or as many as you like and can also cancel them at any time.

Creative Class

Sharing a few of the projects from creative class
on friday.
Both of the pumpkins were made with a roll of toilet paper
and some plastic bags and a fabric napkins.
The stem is a piece of tree branch that I cut and pushed down
into the center of the toilet paper roll.  Add a tag for the finishing touch.

Here's another one.....

These wood beaded pumpkin were made with wire and the beads.

We also used pumpkins that were bought from Micheal's and Dollar Tree that were orange.  We painted them white and then dry brushed
the pumpkin with an antique wax.  We used the wood branches
that I brought in from my yard.  Super cute and easy!

Ghostly fun

Good morning friends!
Ready for some ghostly fun?
This little craft is super easy to make.

How cute are they?!!

Let's get started....
Start with a piece of 5"x 5" piece of muslin,
a black sharpie, a 16mm wood bead and some jute.

Start with using an aul and poke a hole in the center of the muslin,

Thread the jute through the hole to the other side.

Now take the wood bead and thread it through
the jute....

Tie off the jute right at the hole on the back of
the wood bead.

Take out your glue gun and add just a little bit to the wood bead,
wrap the muslin around it and pinch in the middle to create the neck
of the ghost.

Cinch in the center like this....

And there you have it!!
Boootiful!!!

Halloween Cat diy

Back at it today sharing how to make this cute little
diy Halloween cat decor.
You just need the little wooden cat, frame and
black acrylic paint.
All three items are at the Dollar Tree.

Paint your cat black and once dry clip it under
the clip.  Add some black or colored baker's twine
to the clip and stamp yourself a spooky saying
to attach to the frame with hot glue.
How stinkin cute is that!
They also sell wooden ghosts and pumpkins too!
If your Dollar Tree doesn't have them, check
their online store.
Muuuuwaaaaaahhhhhh!!!

Fall Fun

What a beautiful fall weekend away to the Cascades.
We stopped along the way to walk the Gold Creek pond trail.
It never disappoints no matter the season.
Even though it's fall, snow started to fall in the pass
yesterday which is early for us.  We don't usually get a good
snowfall until at least the week before Thanksgiving or the week after.

You could definitely feel the change in the air while
we were there.
In the photo above the water is so clear you can see to the bottom
of the lake.  Just gorgeous.

All of us girls have know each others for years
and make it a priority each year to head away together.

Ran into this ole' granddaddy and his herd

Had to visit the local Fall festival and pumpkin farm...

These warty pumpkins were by far the fav.
There are so many amazing varieties of pumpkins
out there, who knew?
If you are local and looking for a beautiful fall hike
head to Gold Creek Trail for a great day!
