Faux Washi Tape

Good morning all!  Here is another card that I presented for our Stop and Go with the use of a different take on washi tape.  In our catalog we sell just 4 types of washi tape, Witch's Brew, Season of Style, Epic Day and Gingham Garden.  What if you could have any washi tape in any color?  Well now you can!  I have shown you many samples of the stamp set Tape it!   Stamped just ink to paper, well now look what you can do with it!
 (shown here)

Tape It!  #130715
Vellum Cardstock #101856

Take this stamp set and make any color washi tape you like!
You will use our Vellum Cardstock and stamp any of the tape designs in the set, let dry for a minute, cut out and there you have it!   Look at my card design, you cannot even tell that this is vellum, it looks like washi tape!.  Use your adhesive to attach to your card. You can now also attach your washi tape to darker colored cardstock and not be limited to just white, vanilla or crumb cake.  See the possibilites just became endless!

Moving along on our trip, we stopped in  Palm Springs to have lunch and toodle around.  Ended up eating at Ruby's Diner, but was so looking forward to taking my family to Tyler's for their incrediable sliders.  It was temporarily closed for the off season.
Now headed to Arizona to visit my Sister........ I'm ready to melt.....

Spending a little time with my family in Disneyland the last few days before we drop our oldest of at college.  I loved see the World of Color show at California Adventure- spectacular!

Going on my FAV ride evah!  Haunted Mansion!
Do you see how there is no one else around?  There were no crowds yesterday morning at all, walked right up to all the rides and got to go twice on some.  It's the middle of August,  I expected it to be sooo crowded.

Eating at our favorite restaurant - Carnation Cafe

Perfect Blend meet Washi Tape

I wanted to share with you another great washi tape card idea made by my downline gal Carol Viydos.  The coffee rings are made she said by taking a wine glass and stamping it into the crumb cake ink pad and then directly onto the paper.  She then added the washi tape (epic day) and add the two cute cups of coffee.  Such a great card! Thanks for sharing with us Carol!

You could add a cello bag filled with Halloween candy.  They are also great to make at your stamp classes.

Halloween Luminarie

At our Stop and Go this weekend I demonstrated Washi Tape. This is one of the many items I made.  Starting with a mason jar and tealight.  I just wrapped the Witches Brew Washi Tape around the jar.  Turn the jar upside down and set the tealight on the inside, screw shut.  Take ribbon and tie around the base of the jar.  I added the glittered crow to the jar with some dimensionals.

Here it is all lit up!  It's great the Washi tape is transparent as you can see how the light shines right through the tape.
I will show you some more Washi Tape ideas this week.

Products Used:
Stamp Set-Toil and Trouble #131724 for wood and
 # 131727 for clear
Accesssories- Mason Jars, Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, Tealights, Witches Brew Washi Tape#132156 - $4.95
