Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!
Sharing today my Auntie Linda's amazing Spooky House!
She decorates her entire home (and I mean entire!) every year
from top to bottom, room to room, every room!
So I wanted to share just a snippet of her keanly thought
out decor that she has in each room.....

This is an area of the living room
crow alley....

This is her dining room which she decorated into
"under the sea" complete with skellie mermaids
and mammals on the walls.

In her kitchen the butler ready to serve up drinks.

This is a spare room that she just remodeled and added
these two scary twins to it.

This is the nanny who watches over all the kids
and the toys in the room, sadly I thought I got a photo
of them all but I did not.
They were very creepy!

Look at her bathroom!
Amazing details in all the corners,
the pictures don't do it justice,
but take it from me,
she is so talented and creative!

scary, talking witch!

and the talking frog!

I love this clever soap holder!
My auntie schedules appointments for tours
to visit her Spooky House, once your tours are
over she has "dearly departing gifts" she gives her
"victims!"
This spider is one of the gifts she gives
her visitors... so cool!

She plans and thinks through her whole decor plan for most of the year contructing and planning each room and corner of her home pouring her passion in each detail.  I love how talented she is!
Anyway,  I thought it would be fun on Halloween to honor her
and her amazing talents!

Diy Plastic Pumpkin redo

Good Morning!
Looking for an adult "pumpkin carving" for yourself
this weekend?
Here's a fun way to spruce up your fall, Halloween or Thanksgiving decor by making one of these.
You can add any decor to the top of it and I even served muffins on it this week, very versatile.

Start with one of these cheap plastic pumpkins,
I found mine at Walmart.

Get a plate and some bonding glue,
I had an extra plate on hand, if you don't
Dollar Tree has them.

I choose to use chalkpaint as it dries so much
quicker, the picture above has two coats so
add a third for full coverage.

Take your bonding glue and add it to the rim generously,
turn the pumpkin upside down on the plate and let dry for at least
4 hours.

Now wait.....
(this is the hardest part....)

Decorate and enjoy!
This project maybe cost $3 unless you don't have the glue on hand.
So fun to make!

Shop talk

It's that time of year when you start thinking about
gifts for the holidays.
My shop is up and running and ready for you to take a peek at
some of the little things you can pick up to gift.
One of the items are cotton kitchen towels that
have different sayings on them.
Home Sweet Home above is one of them.

One of the most popular items sold is the mini 4oz Starbuck's cup you see below.  So many customer's from the east coast reached out and asked if I could make mini Dunkin Donut cups, now they are born!
My customer's have shown me all the different ways they use these cups, most commonly in newborn baby photoshoots!
Can you even imagine?
If you want to see, go to my shop and under the reviews many customers have posted the pictures of their newborns!
Also another popular use of them are Pupicinno parties for dogs!
They are also great for favors for coworkers, birthday parties, bachlorette parties, etc.
As customers, you guys get soooo creative!

Ho Ho Ho: Paper Pumpkin October 2022

                                          Good Morning!
Check out this month's adorable Paper Pumpkin.
If you have followed me for very long you know that I typically change and alter the paper pumpkin kits either adding to completely changing them all together, but  this time,  soooo soooo cute!

Here are the three different designs

When you receive the kits everything in the kits
are preprinted for the most part with the exception of
a few images you will stamp.
This one I stamped the sleigh and the greeting.
Every other piece you just add to the card
and if you watch the video you can see how easy it is
with the directions that come with the kit.

This one just required stamping the Santa head onto
the cutout.

Same with this one....

What do you think?
Super adorable right?
You can purchase them

Framed Christmas idea

Hello!
Happy sunday,  bringing you a new idea today
for a cute fun and easy diy to gift.
I found these great frames at the Dollar Tree.

The
"A very Merry Holly Jolly Christmas"
wood ornaments are from Hobby Lobby
Here is the link

I used some acrylic white paint to paint the tree, you can also use
white chalk paint.  I like to use chalk paint as a choice as is dries quicker.

I made quite a few of these. To level it up a bit
I added some clear crystals.
Measure your background of the frame to determine
the center background dsp paper.
I removed the glass on top and put it behind the dsp to give
it some weight.
Once your ornament is dry use hot glue to adhere it to the dsp.
That's it!
So cute and a thoughtful gift to give someone.
Enjoy!

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Are you ready to roast some pumpkin seeds?
There were over 8 pumpkins carved at our house
by my daughter and her friends which lead to over
8 cups of seeds to be roasted.

This truly is THE best recipe I have tried ever
and keep sticking with it each year.
One of the secrets to crispy seeds is allowing
your seeds to dry for at least 48 hours
after you wash them.

I typically rinse them in a colander and try ot get
as much of the pulp off the seeds as I can then
I lay them on a lined cooking sheet with parchment paper.
As I said, let them dry before you roast them in the oven.
The recipe is below....

Sharing with you our favorite annual pumpkin  bars
we like to make.  Super easy and so yummy!

Mix all ingredients together and transfer into
a baking dish.

These are chalked full of goodness,
white chocolate chips, pumpkin etc.

They take 30 mins to cook and super quick to mix up!
Did I say how delish they are?

1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
2 t vanilla
1 can of canned pumpkin 15oz
2 c of flour

1 t of baking powder
1 t of baking soda
1/4 t salt

Bake @ 350 for 20 mins or until the center springs back.
You can add a light frosting if you like, but these bars are so sweet I don't add any frosting.
Enjoy!!

BOO!

Boooooooo!
Showing up with another quick card made with the cute ghost
from this month's Paper Pumpkin.

I used a bat punch and punched out the bats randomly
on the card.  I layered it up on basic gray cardstock
and used dazzling diamonds to give the bats a bit
of glitter.

The remainder bats I popped up on top of the card and
added the BOO!

This card would also look cute with orange
cardstock.

You've Been BOO'd?

Well this ole' traditon is fun to bring back!
My girlies and I used to Boo all their friends for
Halloween.
I've noticed on social platforms that it's making it's rounds
again so I thought oh, I miss doing this!

I punched out a few white tags and used the ghost from
this month's Paper Pumpkin and a BOO stamp to
create the BOO tags....

There are so many ways to BOO someone.
It can be your friend, neighbor, co-worker
you get it!
Anyway, some things you can do is go to the Dollar Tree
or Target and find fun Halloween finds to fill your bag, or basket.
Here are a few things I put in my BOO bags

The towel and ghost soap is from the Dollar Tree,
the little ghost box I made and filled it with candy.
The round skeleton in the center is a Keurig KCup
called of all things.... Death Wish coffee.

The little boxes I made I added See's candy to.

Here's the K-cup's up close,
Death wish coffee
Just look for anything that looks Halloweenish
or orange and black.  The more
you look the more you will see!

These cute ghosts bags I found at Ross,
you get 7 for $2.99

Super cute little bags.
BOO'ing someone is a fun way to spread Halloween fun with family and friends.  You simply put together  a bag of Halloween treats you have collected  along with a little not saying "you've been Boo'd" and deliver it anomymously to your friends and neighbors.

Happy Boo'ing!
