Get ready for some "tom-foolery"!

Here comes St. Paddy's day!

We love to celebrate St. Paddy's day and even though it looks like I might be Irish with my red hair, I am actually Scottish, my husband

is part Irish.  So we run with the Irish traditions over here!

 I found these cute free printables HERE

that you can print out and decorate. 

We have a local candy store called See's candy

that carry these adorable foiled shamrocks that

I picked up.  I also used gold glitter stickles to 

make a little gold hearts and dots around the heart with. 

The end of the Stickles bottle the point is fine enough to 

draw the heart and fill it in, pretty easy to do. 

Then using double sided tape attach the shamrock.

If you don't have a See's you could easily attach a gold

rolo or gold coin or those rainbow jelly candies in a baggie with the tag.

St Paddy's day idea

My women's group got together this morning after 

mot being together since November.

To kick it off we celebrated with everything green a week

early for St' Paddy's day. 

One of the things that I picked up for our brunch was

this delicious french soda water my girlfriend turned me on to.

It's so pretty and can be found at Cost Plus,

the flavor is Strawberry Basil and it tastes so good!

I thought it would be fun to have at the brunch so I added 

one drop of green food coloring and gave it a shake.

Here's the label up close, runs $4.99 a bottle.

So pretty in green too!

I will use the second bottle for my St Paddy's day 

dinner I make next week. 

Do you do a St Paddy's day dinner?

I usually cook corn beef/cabbage

carrots and potatoes.  All the works.

If you have littles you can add some green

food coloring to their milk or water

or even apple juice.

Got to celebrate all the things!

St Patrick's Day

A little luck of the Irish happening over here......

framed this Subway art for my front porch and added the cute green pom pom banner.

I took a mason jar and filled it with green kisses.  I added a doily, cut out a chevron circle.  I punched out three gold hearts with our heart punch and gold foil paper which is on sale this week under our weekly deals program (look below)  and hand cut the stem to create the shamrock.  Wrap the doily around the jar using gold accented baker's twine.  Add the Happy St. Patrick's day sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Shamrock tealights

How stinkin cute are these little shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day!

I found the idea online while looking for something else!

So here's how you make them:

Cut three pieces of cardstock or designer paper, your choice at 

5/8" x 5 1/2".  Take all three pieces and fold each in half to create your three hearts.  I used a pencil to roll the top of the hearts so that they were easier to glue into the shape of the heart.  Also,  I found that hot glue worked best.  To wrap the tealight I cut mine at

 5/8" x 4 1 /2", but make sure and measure your tealight as they come in all different sizes.  Once all three hearts are made then glue the outer two the the middle one and then glue to the tealight.

St Patrick's Money Bags

St. Patrick's day treat bags complete with chocolate coins!   There are two designs to pick from.

You make the purse by punching out one top note die from the cardstock color or your choice.

Score the top of the top note die at 1 1/2' down from the top then folder over.  Punch two holes (1/8") on each side of the top note to slip your ribbon thru to make the strap.  Use your double sided adhesive on the inside of the purse so that it adheres  the bag of coins to the purse and the strap. Decorate the front with the Lucky You stamp and some Pearls.

St. Paddy's Day Decor

Doing a little decorating for St. Patrick's Day that I wanted to share with you.  I just loved receiving all the emails lately from you all about what I have found at the Dollar Tree and Target to create with.  Well,  here you go.... I found at the Dollar Tree these amazing little moss rocks.  The are in the pic above in the glass cansiter and below in an up close picture so you can see them beter.  Moss covered rocks, styrofoam balls and other garden art is quite a trend right now.  The moss rocks are in a bag of 8 of course for a $1.00.  I just put them inside the canister with the candle a bird and some gold coins to kinda look like blarney stones.

St Paddy's Hat

Isn't this stinkin cute!  A luck of the blarney stone!  I was
visiting a store yesterday and they were showing these so
they are not my creation.  Totally CASED!  But now you
get to see and made them too!  So the little hat holds two
reese's pb cups.  The sizes that you see are as follows
for creating this little paddy hat.  You need a 2'scallop
punch, a 1 1/4' circle punch a piece of cardstock foir the
hat cut at 1 1/4' x 4 1/4, and for the black trim you will
cut 3/4' x 4 1/4'.   I hand cut the buckle by punching with
a very small square punch and then cutting out around it
to make the small buckle.    So to assemble take the scallop
punch and put two glue dots on the bottom and add the first
pb cup,  then add a glue dot to the top of that one and add your
next one. They both should be stuck to the scallop now.
Take the body of the hat and add sticky strip and wrap it
around the reese's tight but not to tight that you cannot lightly
lift it.  Add the black trim now with adhesive and buckle.
Lastly you will take a glue dot and put it on the top reese and
add the circle punch.  I did trim down my circle just a bit so it
would fit just right.  Now the hat part should just slide up to see
the candies as you see in the photo above.
