Nature's Harvest

Check out this super fun technique for you to try!
I learned this stipple dot technique waaayyy back
in college in my art classes and I have seen it popping
up in card making.
When we did this technique in college you used white
paper and a black marker.

The way to do this technique is to stamp your line art
im
I used the rainbow colors and just started making dots
from one end to the other.
Just have fun with it!
Make as many as you want to fill it in.

You can see how I did more heavy dots closer to the center of
the image.
This is so relaxing to do!
Give it a try and send me pics if you do!!!
Happy stippeling!

Salmon Le Sac hiking trail

Spending some time in the outdoors the last 3 days
doing some hiking, walking and exploring around.
We are in the cascade mountain area which is east of Seattle.
There are soooo many incrediable hikes and trails to explore.
We have done this one before and always at springtime
the snow pack runoff is so powerful.

This trail goes on for 13 plus miles
and at the beginning you follow along this river
runoff which is so peaceful and serene.

I even got the hubs to go out with me!
You just can't be the PNW!
Hope you all are having a wonderful
Memorial weekend!

Gray Bridge Wedding Venue

Wedding season has kicked off and my first wedding of the season was friday night at the gorgeous Gray Bridge venue.
Gray Bridge is located in Sultan, Washington which boasts waterfront ceremony, forest backdrops and moutain views.
Check out the above video you won't want to miss how beautiful it is.

This is my first wedding of the season coordinating and decorating,
take a look at the details from fridays wedding.
If you are local or not, Gray Bridge Venue is an amazing venue to choose.

You can set up your table placement different ways, we chose to have the farmhouse tables dead center and the round tables on each side of the middle tables.

Something I share with Bride's for floral centerpieces are the greens runner in the above photo.
If you have a local Costco that is where they are ordered from
and if you didn't know this online they have a floral wedding dept to order from and they even deliver!
You get 8- 6 ft green runners typically mixed eucaluyptus
for $99.  This is quite a deal.

You can see above the greens close up, they come bound and completely full.
I used some dried euculyptus on the plate with the laser cut names to personalize each plate.

Instead of cake the bride and groom chose a small doughnut cake and also added a doughnut wall for the guests.

The adorable Mr & Mrs Viydo

Evening lighting....

Take a look at the shepard hooks, the bride wanted to showcase her mother in law to be's glassybabies to honor her recent passing so we came up with this idea of hanging them from these very boho macrame' holders.  I hung 16 total running down the seating aisle.

Such a fun way to hang and showcase glassybabys.

Torn Card Effect

Check out this new technique floating around social platforms.
It's called the torn card effect.
Cut your card the standard size then on the top layer tear back the card stock back on both sides adhering it along the way with a little bit
of adhesive to hold the roll in place.

Using this really pretty hombre gold splattered
paper slip it in between the cover portion of the card
and adhere it.

Once it's glued down it will look like this,
I added a circle accent stamped and the baker's twine.
The pieces you see are from this month's Paper Pumpkin "Celebrating in Color" which I will be sharing with you.

Imagine the possibilites with this technique.
Look through your scrap Paper and see if you have any
patterened card stock that you could you use to try this technique.

I hope you give it a try!

Graduation Candy Lei's

                                          Just in time for graduations!
Re-sharing a fun and easy way to make candy lei's for those                                                   graduations coming up!
Everyone wants one of these candy lei's wrapped around their necks at graduation and our video is going to show you how easy it
is to put these together.

You can use any type candy you like or even nuts
or gumballs!  Get creative!

I used curling ribbon but you can use any ribbon you like.
I also added a tag at the bottom of the necklace.

You can use hard candies, I used M & M's for one
of the lei's and airheads for another.
Something to consider if you live in the hot states, you may not want to use chocolate candies as they melt.

You can see I made and posted these back in 2019, but
every year I make these for graduating seniors.
It's so much fun to personalize and customize them based
on their school colors.
Sometimes I add dollar bills too!

Artisically Inked

Happy sunday!
it was time for a little embossing which is something
I haven't done for some time.
Have you tried to emboss before?
It requires a heating tool, embossing powder and a Versamark pad.

I embossed the roses using white embossing
powder on white card stock.
Using a sponge dauber add some ink

To put the card all together, layer each piece then
add the salutation once you've stamped the greeting

I used Real Red and Pear Pizzaz in pads for the shading
and "hello friend down the side.

Island Vibes

Hey there,
I know this has recently retired from the Sale a bration event,
but I had to make a card with it.
It's like a 2 min vacation this set.  Takes me right to the
islands, which I love!
The set is called "Island Vibes"

I used Soft Suede ink for the pineapple and Pear Pizzaz
for the tropical leaves.
I can hear the ocean calling me now!

Roozengaarde Gardens

Mother's day adventure to the beautiful
Roozengaarde gardens in lovely Mount Vernon.
If you are local then you know the beauty that surrounds this
community.  Endless rows of tulips and daffodils and rolling mountains and fluffy clouds galore.

The amazing thing about this visit is that typically the tulip
fields have bloomed and passed by late April so this was such
a special treat to get to see on Mother's day.
Due to our month long cold weather and constant rain it made for many late blooms stretching out the tulip season.

Look at all these beauties!

If you have never heard of the Tulip festival it is not only a local
festival it's a national one as well.  People come from all over the nation to visit Mount Vernon/La Connor for the festival.
Not only are there fields and fields of flowers there is an art festival,
quilt shows, art shows and other timed events during the festival.
It's a beautiful destination to visit!

These colors!!!

Check out those clouds!

So magical.....

I hope your Mother's day was as colorful as mine!
