Bride to be

She's one sweet girl in our life and we got to shower her
with love and prayers and gifts this weekend!
Danielle has been a part of our family since she
was in 3rd grade and has been friends with my eldest
daughter since.

Brittany, Danielle and Shelby all smiles.....

Getting ready for lots of picture taking

Danielle and myself

I've shared many times the large paper flowers and
how to make them.   Here is how I used them for
the shower.  I just tucked them into the greens, even
with a little bit of wind they didn't move.

I always use the chalkboards in my events to add
a special touch to the space, whether it's the wedding
date or a special saying.

The hula hoop diy I showed last month that I used for my daughter's graduation party I also used for the shower.
I used little scripture cards to surround their photo.

Such a beautiful day celebrating Danielle.
It was a full weekend, I was off to two more bridal showers celebrating new bride's to be-  aaaahhh...... young love!

Towels

Hello friends!
Hope you had a wonderful 4th, those of you stateside.
I have a few of these beauties available in the shop right now
They run a bit smaller than all my others tea towels (20 x 20)
which is your standard sized kitchen towel.
I made them up for an event earlier this year and have about
10 left that are yours if you wish!

I am not going to post them to my Etsy shop since there are
so few, so message me if you'd like to get your hands on one.

Grad Party

What a fun weekend celebrating my girl's graduation!
So many friends and family showed up and I cannot thank you all for coming and sharing in Shae's accomplishment!
I wish I was able to get more photos of everyone but here are a few.....

Here are a few of the decor pics.

Remember the hula hoop photo rings I shared last month?
Here they are with all her pictures on them.

My girlfriend Kirstin owns this canoe and I was lucky enough to get to borrow it from her for the party.
We set it on top of some landscape rocks that are on our patio area and then put some 25lb arm weights inside to keep it secure.

I used a 10ft long piece of wood to run the entire length of the canoe in order to be able to set things on top for serving.
I used white tablecloths to cover the wood.  I also used buckets in areas in the canoe where I could put the bowls of food or tortillas.

At each end of the canoe and in the center I put flowers that were in glass vases that I sent right down inside of the canoe.  It worked well and also filled up with ends.
It really turned out better than I ever expected!

We were really hoping for sunshine, it came around 5pm
just shortly after everyone left, go figure.....
Still, it turned out to be a great celebration

Sweet friends.......

Graduation Hula Hoop

A few weeks ago I shared with you all and idea for you to showcase photos for upcoming events this summer.
Weddings, showers, graduations, anniversaries, etc....

Well,   look at this one above!!!!
Mara stepped it up!  check out the amazing details she added to
her hoop!  Every little detail.  She tied her ribbons to the hoop which is genius! Also adding scrabble wood tiles to spell out grads.
And look at those cute sparkly glasses!

This is just makes me smile!
When I post, my goal is to show you projects that you can truly make, and I always stress how easy they are.
Thank you Mara for sharing your grad hoop, it turned out just great!

Grad season, baby showers, bridal showers, they all are coming right up and we are getting ready to host over here.
We haven't been in our new home but 6 months and the yard is just starting to pop with color.
Above is this trellis wall with a evergreen plant that I don't know what it is called yet.  But what I do know is it's ready to be decorated for some parties!

I have showed these large paper flowers on my blog before
just not done in white.
You can head over to my instagram accout by
clicking the icon to the left to see how to make these

You can see how big they are by the scale of my hand

I made the middle of each flower different

Here are the original large paper flowers I made below
Doesn't matter if they are white or different colors,

DIY Photo Hoop

DIY Photo hoop project........

Next month my daughter graduates from High School,
I wanted to make some decor for her grad party.
Above are a few items I purchased from the Dollar Tree to make
this project.
You will need to get:
a hula hoop
a garland of greens
a bunch of flowers

This project is a great way to showcase the different photos you have from year to year.  It is also a great project for weddings, showers, baby showers or birthday parties so give it a try.

I chose the hula hoop with the least amount of design
on it so I could easily spray paint it.  I sprayed mine gold.

Once it's dry, take a ribbon of your choice and stagger the ribbon
across the hoop as you see above.  Once you have them where
you would like them, using a hot glue gun, adhere them to the hoop.

The ribbon I used it like a linen cloth type, it's what I have on had.
You can use any color for the event you are hosting.
To attach the photos I used the little wooden clothes pins.
You can find them at your local craft stores, even the Dollar Tree carries them.

Using the leaf garland, fold it over and cut it in half.
That way you have enough for each side of the hoop.
Wrap it around and glue it down.

I placed three flowers on each side as you can see.
And here it is all done!
I made two of them to place in my front windows in our
living room so people can walk over and take a peek.
To hang them I ran some twine around the top and used a push pin to push it into this framed window.
Have fun trying these!
