Holiday Perfect Pennants

I wanted to share a fun way to decorate with the ever popular pennants we see everywhere.  I  purchased a strand of 100 mini string Christmas lights.   I took our Stampin Up! Big Shot Pennant die and a package of our Be of Good Cheer Designer Series paper and cut out  18 pennants with the double sided paper.  To hold them onto the string of lights I used the mini wooden clothes pins. That way once the holiday is over you can just unhook them and save them for next year.   You can see in the above photo that I draped them across the room.  It is hard to see, but it turned out really cute!

Seattle Holiday Style

We spent  last night in downtown Seattle taking in the Macy's  after Thanksgiving parade and all the  festivities.  We visited the Teddy Bear room at the Farimont, rode the Holiday Carousel and checked out the incrediable gingerbread houses at the Shearaton.  The theme this year was Disney princesses. Above was Beauty and the Beast.  Our local Architect firms build these amazing houses each year and each year they just keep getting better!.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Here are the cute little candies that I made up for my Thanksgiving table.  I took two sea salted milk chocolate caramels and wrapped them in cellophane and tied them off with our Linen Thread.  I used the new Autumn Accents Big Shot Die and cut out the cute little acorn that I then ran through the embossing folder called Square Lattice.  I made it two toned then added the "For You' pennant.

I love my Glassybaby candles for table decor,  they are amazing and so beautiful!

Christmas Wish List/Coupon holder

I made these "wish list/coupon holder" for my stamp camp guest this week.
It is made with an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock.  Take your 8 1/2 x 11 and cut it to 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 ,  score at 2 and 2 1/2 then at 6 1/2 and 6 3/4  fold up, the pouch goes on the left side of the holder for lists, coupons of notes. Now decorate to your hearts desire.

Countdown to Christmas

It seems a bit premature for counting down to Christmas but here goes......  these  embroidery hoops are all the rage.  You can dress them up with fabric, cover them in burlap, the ideas are endless. Here I have taken a piece of our Stampin Up! retired chalkboard vinyl, (don't fret, you can find this at most craft stores) it is sticky, so you need to adhere it to a piece of fabric first then wrap around the hoop and tightened.   To decorate I used the new Autumn Accent Die and turned it into holly, the berries are punch with a 1" circle punch with our red Glimmer paper.

Heart of Christmas

Well,  I caved, I said I was going to work on Thanksgiving projects, but this Christmas card won out!

With thanksgiving coming I decided to make a grateful jar this month for my family to jot down little notes of thanks all month so that on Thanksgiving we can read them out loud.  I used a jar I had laying around the house to decorate.
