Mojo Monday card

Okay this is how busy my week has been.  I'm doing Mojo monday on sunday!  Crazy as it is, here it is!  I was thinking back to school since we are a mere 3 days away from the big event.  It is always very bittersweet when the girls go back to school.  I know they cannot wait to reconnect with friends and teachers but I hate it when they are gone all day!  Call me a crazy momma!  I will miss them as they head out in the next few days.   Here is the recipe for this card.
Cardstock:  Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, DSP Newsprint, Real red, Delightful daffodil....
Stamp set is the new Hostess set: Cute by the Inch
Accessories,  window punch, red grosgrain ribbon, bright buttons  xoxo

Christmas Snowman

So I found this adorable snowman on a stick at Michael's craft store last week.  He is suppose to be a what they call a "pick" for your tree or a wreath but when I saw him I thought how cute he would be with our new designer fabric and designer paper all decorated!  He cost a mere $1.99 so well worth getting for camps or stamp clubs to promote the designer fabric.  I used a small snowflake bucket I had laying around, filled it with a floral styrofoam block.  I added the irridescent grass.  The snowman I altered by added my own carrot nose by cutting a small circle and rolling it into a carrot.  I adhered it with mono adhesive glue.  I took two different pieces of the patterend fabric and cut them 4 inches long and then tied them around the top of the stick.   The collar around the base of the snowman's head is a piece of 2 x12 designer paper accordian folded and the glued together at the ends.  Once glued I added a a scallop punch on the under side of it to make it stay togerher.   The pom poms and hat and red bead were already a part of the snowman.  So adding a  little more detail to him too little effort.   xoxo

What a Hoot!

Aren't these just too stinkin cute?  There are three of these cute little christmas fabric ornament owls I made using the new Designer Fabric in the Candy Cane Christmas.  Just a few days away and you can order this beautiful fabric!  I have a template and instructions posted for this owl to the right for you to order.  They are very easy to make, and I can assure you I am not a sewing kind of gal!  Just straight stitching is what I can handle.  Hope you like these little guys!   I think they are a hoot!  xoxo

Designer Fabric Headband

Got out the new beautiful designer fabric called Candy Cane.  I purchased a headband at the dollar
tree and covered it first with the striped fabric.  I used a hot glue gun on the insde of the headband to adhere the fabric to the plastic.  I then took a piece of real red grosgrain ribbon, started it on the inside of the headband and wrapped to the other side.   The rosettes are the same rosettes I  posted on August 9th 2010 in a how to video. HERE The buttons are from the new button sets from the 2010-11 Idea Book and Catalog.   xoxo

Spideriffic

Today's card is just spideriffic!  Ha!  These spiders are taken from two sets: the small spider is from the Dark and Dreary and From the Crypt set.   I used the new DSP Newspring and took the sponges and sponged in more mustard and cajun craze over the top of the dsp, then stamped the spiders in basic black all over. It is mounted on basic black, peach parfait and daffodil delight.  The bottom of the card is just torn, I think is makes it look like it's pouring over.   xoxo

A little Halloween

So I don't know about your weather in your neck of the woods but usually LATE August we start seeing alot of little spiders and spider webs starting to emerge.  Well.... they are already starting!  it seems early to me this year.  So in light of the little visitors this card was created.  The web is from our new Winter collection and is available Sept 1st.   Spider Web # 120889  Cardstock is the pear pizzazz and concord crush. Theweb is made by using the white vellum cardstock.  It has been run through the Big Shot, I added dazzling diamonds glitter to the web so that it glistens.  The eek is from the stamp set Sweet Centers, the circle punches are the 1 3/4 on the pear pizzaz and 1 3/8 on the white    xoxo

Back to School Wipe Board

Today's post is a cute Back to School Wipe Board.   I found these in the dollar spot at Target.  They are very large!  12 x 18.   We made this for Shaelyn's teacher for the first day of school.  I mounted the board on basic black  and real red cardstock and used adhesive to be sure it is secure.  The handle for hanging is made by used the grosgrain ribbon and the very large grommets.  If you use your cropadile it will punch a hole right through the board with plenty of ease.   The pencil is made with the window punch and the scissors are made with the small and large oval punches.  Similiar to my post for a teacher gift in May.  xoxo
