Mini Bunny Canvas

Happy thursday!
I had a few of those 4 x 4" canvas's left from the Valentine's day
heart canvas's we made.
I decided to look online for a rabbit line art. I found one under Adobe and made it at 3".

I then found some of this artifical supermoss that comes in a roll
at Hobby Lobby.  Just unroll it and trace your image on the backside of the moss roll and cut out.

really easy.......
Now heat up your glue gun and glue it right in the center of the canvas.
That's it!
I've shown this before on a much larger canvas sized at 8 x 10"
but this mini one is super cute and looks cute on your 3 tier trays or your desk or a shelf.

Easter napkin candles

Here's a technique that has been around for years and has
since resurfaced.
It's quite fun and easy to do.  Get yourself some wax candles,
I bought the 3' x 6' pilar candles.  I also picked up some paper napkins.

These ones I found at HomeGoods.
Open and unfold the napkin and separate
the liner to the patterned part.

You can see one side is white and the other patterned,
it's easy to separate them.

you can see how easy it separates.....

Now cut the napkin to fit your candle.
Using a emobossing gun start on one side and slowly yet
not to closely heat the napkin to the candle.  It will naturally
melt right into the candle.  You will be able to see it melt.

Once you have it all adhered to the candle take your scissors
to cut away any pieces of napkin that isn't flushed along the top of the candle.

Up close,  so cute!
You could even tie a ribbon or twine around the candle.
As in any candle you have that you burn, you should never
leave it unattended.
Thanks for stopping by!

Bunny card

Here comes peter cottontail, hoppin down the bunny
trail.......
Take a look at this new bunny punch.

I started with a piece of kraft and white cardstock
use the kraft cardstock as the base of the card
and the white to cut out the oval shape.

Take the punch and just punch half of the bunny.

Take a pencil to create an egg by drawing right onto
the oval to create the egg shape.
Once done use your dimensionals to pop up
the egg.
You can use any Easter stamp you have for the
greeting, I used a felt flower I had on hand
but you can use any flower or even a paper flower.

Ti Leave bracelets

Got to spend the past few days in Kauai for the first time.
It was gorgeous there, despite it being winter we had
great weather at 73 degrees.  Nice and warm.

This was one of the beaches we went to.

and another.....  we found that Kauai's beaches are much
more rocky than Maui's.

We tried our hands at ti leave bracelets....

fun to do,  you use the ti leaves either the red or green
or both and add a flower when you're done.

You start by tying two knots togerher on one end
of the leaves.  Then slip it over a chop stick.
Hawaiians are taught to do this with a stick between their toes!

Once you slid it over the chop stick you start to twist both sides
right and then twist over left to create the rope.

So fun to learn how to do this!
Aloha for now~

Heart Canvas's

Picked up these very small canvas's.
They are sized at 4 x 4" and 1 1/2" thick.

I checked into a few ways I could add a heart to the
canvas.  Ways you can create a heart is using spakel,
gesso or wallboard compound.  Since I had the
wallboard compound on hand I decided to give it a try.

Using a dinner spoon I spread a little amount of compound
onto the canvas.  You can spread it with the spoon to create the heart.
If you don't like how it looks just wipe it away and try again.
Once it looks the way you'd like let it dry overnight so you can paint it later.

To make this heart I used a kitchen spoon of all things to spoon
onto the canvas the spackle and make the heart.

Let the spackle dry overnight.
I had a bunch of gals over to make these, then
all ended up painting them different colors
and adding gold to the hearts.
I forgot to take a picture of them all,
but the one below gives you an idea of
what they looked like.  They turned out amazing!

Strawberry drinks

How about a fun and festive drink for Valentine's day?
These are soooo cute and very easy.
Take any drinking glass you have and a strawberry,
cut the top of the strawberry at an angle to create the heart.
Now take a bamboo skewer and break in half.  Stick it barely into
the strawberry and set in the bottom of the glass.

Using scotch tape, tape the skewer to each side of the glass,
now add just an 1/4" of water in the bottom of the glass
and put in the freezer overnight.
In the morning remove tape and skewer.
Now add any drink.
Funny thing,  I was so excited to do this I forgot to take
pictures of them filled once my guests arrived!!!!
But I am telling you,  they were a hit and oh so cute!!!
Happy Valentine's day!!!!

Valentine heart cups

I found these adorable plastic heart cups on Amazon to fill
for our galentine's lunch last friday.

I added small amounts of pistachio's, almonds, rosemary sprig, two crackers, two strawberry pocky's, and a babybel that I cut a heart shape out of the center.  Just layer them all in the cup.  Oh, and I added a salami heart on a toothpick with a blueberry.
You don't need to add much to these little cups.  Just enough to nibble.

Here is the little cutter I used.
A friend of mine ordered this kit off of Amazon and lent it to me.
Here are both the links for the cups and cutter.

You can use these cutters for heart shaped sandwiches, or biscuits,
cheese, meats anything for valentine's day would be cute.

Galentine's day lunch

Happy saturday!
Back to show you another galentine's day lunch
tablescape idea that I hosted.
The LOVE plates were found at HomeGoods.
Most everything else i had on hand.

I showed in an earlier post how to make these paper bows,
I ended up putting them at the top of the plates over the cloth
napkins.

In the center of the table I used a full sized table cloth
that I scrunched up as a runner down the center
and added high and low candles.
The flowers in the center are baby's breath.

In the center of the table I put a three tiered tray, you can add anything you like, I added the sandwiches, scones and desserts on.

It's fun to fill up the tiered tray with all the goodies.
I was going with a "tea party" type of lunch
so I wanted the food to be small bites.

I made chicken salad on lettuce, turkey croissants, egg salad sandwiches, scones and fruit and small desserts.

Do you like to do Valentine's dinner or lunch?
