Aviary

You all know me and my love of the Target dollar spot,  well this time I found these very cute pencils, and if you look in the pictures below you will notice that the one design is the same as our Aviary stamp set!  So,  I got out an empty progresso soup can and covered it with  our Daffodil Delight DSp paper.  I added the scallop border punch in basic black on the bottom.  I added the rhinestones all the way around the can and then covered a mini tablet and tucked it inside with the pencils.

check out these pencils,  they look just like the stamps!

Fabulous Five- Circle Circus

I haven't showcased my Fabulous Five in a LONG time so I thought with the new catalog and stamps sets on their way I would get back to doing this. What I like to do is take a stamp set and create 5 different things with it.  It can be cards, projects, 3d items, whatever you can create.  It makes you look at the set and try to really use it and increase your creativity.  I choose this set as it will still be in the new catalog.  The colors I used are trending everywhere right now.  So summery and bright.  I will be posting the rest of the 5 this week. ... stay tuned

Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink:  Peach Parfait, Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy

Circle Circus stamp set (Wood)- 115778 $28.95
This set is great to combine with our circle and scallop punches, you can use your 1/2', 3/4/', 1', 1 1/4', 1 3/8', 1 3/4', and 1 3/4' Scallop punch!

Teacher Appreciation Idea

Hi all,  just getting ready for Teacher Appreciation week coming up, here is a cute little idea with candle holders and small vases that I picked up at the Dollar Tree.  As you can see above,  I glue them together to make these cute holders.  They are quite a trend right now and so easy to make.  I also used the Stampin Up! Rhinestones that I attached to the bottom of the glass to give it some bling.  They are filled with yummy chocolate truffles from Costco.  The tags are blinged out and say "Queen for the Day" on them.  Sorry I forgot to post a picture of them.  Below you can see how I did these.

I bought two different sizes and styles of glass, use Gorilla Glue to adhere them together

Here they are after I glued them all together......

Next add the Rhinestone Bling around the base and filled with goodies!
You can order the Rhinestones to the right of the blog....

Seattle Blues

I know it's May day but I thought I would share these pictures of our beautfiul downtown Seattle Westlake Park.  The Blue Trees project was conceived by Australian artist Konstantin Dimopoulos, who, in partnership with several environmentally-focused bodies, transformed the trees at the beginning of April by coloring them a brilliant ultramarine blue. The result is a surreal and stunning sight for visitors and residents, designed to raise awareness of global deforestation and encourage discussion about the 32 million acres of old growth forests the planet loses every year.  Isn't this incrediable looking!  The picture above is Shaelyn and her girlfriends.  Happy May Day!
