Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
Wishing you all a blessed and joyful Easter surrounded
by the love of your family and friends and the beauty of springtime!

Now that we are in a new season of life,  it's always
fun to find new ways to make easter baskets for
our adult kids.
Our youngest is getting married this summer and she and her
fiance' had these gorgeous wine glasses on their registry.
I decided to pick each of them one and fill it with a chocolate bunny, jelly beans and a coffee gift card.
They turned out so cute!

Check out below, I wrapped both of them up in cello wrap
and added little name tags.

Have a wonderful Easter!

Easter casserole

Are you ready for Easter?
I have my decor out, (of course!)
But this year for the first time in YEEEARS,
I won't be hosting.  We are heading over to our daughter's
furture inlaws for brunch!  How fun is that!
I am taking a casserole and my favorite almond
cake tart - think coffee cake....
So, I thought I would share the recipe.
If you have any peeps that have special
dietary needs this is the casserole for you.
And I tell you what,  it is beyond delish!

You can make it the night before if you like to make
it even easier on you.  Bakes up to this colorful meal.
You can also substitute  chicken breakfast sausage or turkey if you like.  It looks like it has cheese in it, but nope, no cheese.

So yummy!
Here is the link

Let me know if you like it!

Paper flowers

Happy tuesday!
I've been up to my ears in paper flowers over here!
There is a local women's conference in April and I was asked if I
could make 300 flowers for their tables.
Does anyone remember the spiral big shot flower die?
well, I'm bringing that back for the day!

This is what it looks like if you've forgot, you can layer
at least 3 pieces of cardstock on it to cut out your flowers.
Once cut out you can use a pencil to wind the flower up and adhere with some hot glue.

And here is what 300 flowers look like ready to deliver!
Don't ask me how long this took, I may have watched
an entire Netflix binge while doing this!

Aren't they cute?
These colors are current in the catalog.
The top left is Petal Pink, Crushed Curry and Boho Blue

UW Cherry Blossoms

It was a gray Seattle day but we decided we HAD to go see the infamous cherry blossoms at the University of Washington campus.
If you are local this is a must!
So beautiful and so popular, so get there early in the day!

Now, if you are not local you can watch the live stream
cherry blossom cam! How exciting is that!
You can view them  HERE

It seems each year I visit I see a bride and groom
getting their photos done or heading to their wedding.
If you are lucky enough to see a bride and groom it
makes the experience even more magical.

A little bit of gray skies, but the beauty out
weighs the gray.

Snag a cup of coffee and check out the live stream
to see all the gorgeous blooms.

Target ceramic purses

Check out these cuties that I found at the bulleye's spot
at Target today!
Squealing with delight!
So cute, they are made of ceramic and are $5 each.

These are the two the colors and styles
available.  Hopefully you too can find them!
I hear they are hard to get a hold of!
My plan will be to use them for an upcoming wedding shower.

Fill them with flowers and wah-la!
beautiful!

Diy Wooden crosses

Happy wednesday!
Get outside and find some sticks!
Living in the PNW our sticks have lots of moss and other
things growing on them.
Makes for a natural looking tree stick.
I collected as much as I could find then brought them in and cut them to the size of a cross I wanted.
I would guess they are cut at 6" for the long part and 3" for the cross piece.

Look at all the fun moss and other "stuff" on these sticks
I have no idea what the other "stuff" is, haaa! but it's pretty.

Here are the crosses all done,  they couldn't be easier.
Just hot glue your cross in the center.
I did take some of the mosses from other sticks and add to the crosses
to have them a bit more filled in.

To top them off I had some dried baby's breath left from that
party I threw back in january so I add just a few of the little flowers to the center of the cross.

I made these to give the gals in my women's bible
study tomorrow for them to have for Easter.
If you don't live in an area where you don't have moss
on your sticks, you can buy moss at Michael's craft stores to
create this look.   The baby's breath can be bought at your local Costco
or any grocery store.

Are you getting Easter ready?

Bunny Bags

Happy friday!
Here's a little quickie craft for you for Easter.
You can use these little bunny bags for your Easter table, or fill them for the kids or a gift for a friend.
In the picture above you can see how I used a pencil to draw the ears
and the side of the head.
Using your scissors, cut out your bunny head.

I used some peach velvet ribbon to tie around the ears
after I filled the bunny bag with plastic eggs and candy.

Hot glue on a little bunny tail and it's ready to gift!

Easter coffee gift

Happy wednesday!
Here's a fun way to gift a friend for any occasion.
I started by getting these two slot coffee holders.

I also picked up these coffee cups at Ross, they also can be found
at TJ Maxx as well as some sage colored ribbon.

This is so easy to put together, you can buy the coffee from any where and put it into the coffee holder.  Then pick a tissue color and line the one side with the tissue and add the flower.

Add your ribbon tied into a bow and a stamped little message,
I just happen to use an Easter tag.

How cute is this?

Easter bunny chalkboards

We had a wild weekend of wind and no power,
that made for no post as I forgot to charge my
computer!
Power is back on and we have heat again! woohooo!
So how about these little cuties?
These are heading to the Ronald McDonald house for the kiddos to make next week.

I found these at the dollar tree, you get 12 in the package.
The cute chalkboards can be found at Michael's.
This is a really simple craft, since I am going to
be with kids they will use 3D glue dots to do this,
but you will want to use a hot glue gun.

Just dab a little hot glue on the back of the bunny and
press it onto the chalkboard.
I added the "happy easter" with chalk and will give each
of the kids a stick of chalk to go with their boards
so they can change up what it says.

Here are a couple of ideas as how to decorate with it.

Happy monday friends!

Paper birds

Happy friday!
Welcome back,  I shared these paper birds last year at this time and decided to use up the left overs I had from last year for my women's bible study.
This time I added a little sprig of baby's breath to the paper bird.

I made up quite a few of them and put them in this pretty wood bowl for them to just pick up and take home.
These were a hit!
If you want to know how to make these little cuties
head HERE  for my original post with step by step instructions.

Here's the one from last year still sitting in it's little nest.

Mini overnight oats

Here's another idea for the use of my mini starbuck's cup in my Etsy shop.
I have a women's study coming over this morning and I always like to have a little something for people to have to eat.
These little mini cups came in handy for this overnight oats recipe I have.

Take the lid and straw off the cup and fill them up with
the overnight oats recipe.  These can be made ahead and stored for up to 4 days.  They would also be fun to serve at a brunch or luncheon,
or even a bridal shower.
Here's the recipe;
Overnight Oats
2 cups of oats
2 cups of almond milk
1 cup of greek yogurt
1/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
1 t of vanilla
Mix all together in a bowl and scoop into cups.

Since these are peanut butter flavored I added a few mini chocolate chips to give them a reese's peanut butter twist.

The cute little silver plastic spoons I found at the Dollar Tree.

Think of all the other little types of ways to serve these oats,
you could also put them into mini mason jars, or even regular sized paper cups for on the go.
Have fun trying the recipe!
