So Cool returns!

Annnnd.... it's back!
"So Cool"
but it's so cute isn't it!
So again,  this one is another where I've used the sticker
sheets to create this card.
The background is again the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder.
It give a texture that looks like the paper has been crinkled.

You can see it a bit better in this picture.
The popsicles are popped up with dimensionals
and I added the "you are so cool" sentiment.
Easy peasy!

So Cool

Summer is coming right?
Throwing at you today some more goodness from the
So Cool kit.  I told you in my last post about the stickers
sheets that came in the kit.  Here are a few more, the watermelon
and the strawberry.   I backed them on card stock as well so that
I could pop them up on the card.  Added a little glitter to them
and that was it before adhering them.

To start off the card using the stamps in the kit I stamped the watermelon adn popsicles all over the background in black.
The little piece Petal pink card stock in the center was made by using the Stampin Cut embossing machine (formerly the Big Shot)
The embossing folder I used is called Old World Paper 3D
looks like this.....

it is currently on sale and retiring soon, so if you like it,
you might want to grab one HERE
And what I did to get it that shape was to just tear a piece of the Petal Pink card stock into a shape I liked then ran it through the embossing folder.  I love the texture of this one!

All these pieces and stamps came in the kit,
but if you don't have or didn't get this month's Paper Pumpkin
"So Cool"  you can still order the refill kit which you can see below everything it has in it to create some really cute cards.
I will continue to show you some more cards in the coming days that I have made with this kit.

Here is the refill kit.  It is $10.00
You can see all the goodies you get in it.
At the bottom are the cards I showed in the earlier posts and the top are the sticker sheets and envelopes.  And although you don't get the stamp set, remember, look through what you already have to use for what you might make cards for such as birthdays, etc.

You can order the kit HERE

Happy creating!

So Cool

Good Morning!
Over the weekend I shared with you the new "So Cool"
Paper Pumpkin kit.  And if you have received the kits before
you know how many pieces come in the kit.  SO MANY!
There are so many left over that you can make a ton of extra
cards with them.  This kit had two sheets with sticker
images on them and this colorful little popsicle is one of the designs.

I'll give you a little trick to use your stickers as pieces that you can pop up onto your cards.  Otherwise you would just stick the image directly
onto the card stock.
Pick your image and stick it onto a piece of card stock then fussy cut
around the image.  It now becomes a thicker image and not flimsy and can be used with a pop up dimensionals to give it a 3D effect.

This card has some little technique elements in it to try.
First off the shading of the background.  This look can be
done by either using a craft sponge or a sponge dauber.
You lightly rub your sponge into the ink and go direct to paper
lightly brushing on the color of your choice.
The cute little splashes of blue dots are a stamp that is in this set
in the kit.  I just stamped it randomly around the popsicle.
The third fun element to try is the glitter on top of the popsicle,
it gives it that cold icicle look or just cute glittery pop.

The sponge daubers...

So Cool Paper Pumpkin!

How cute and "cool" is this new Paper Pumpkin?
The new So Cool video is above that you can watch
to put together your paper pumpkin kit.
Here are my alternative ideas for you.
As you can see I used the "hey" stamp from the
past paper pumpkin stamp set.
If you missed out on this paper pumpkin, not to worry
this is one of the new product suites in our upcoming catalog!

Here are three of the cute already printed colorful
cards.  All you have to do is add the sentiment.

If you look really closely you can see how I added glitter
to the spots on the popsicle.

Same on the rainbow,  I added glitter to the edges of each color.

And the watermelon card I added the glitter
to the white spots on the red part of the fruit.

Aren't these just a splash of cute?
They are so sweet and colorful.
I have some more cards to share with you with
the remaining pieces in the kit so stayed tuned.

Spring is in the air and that means baseball, apple pie and hot dogs!
Well, not in that order but you get it!

I am sharing with you the new Paper Pumpkin available for purchase

This month’s timeless kit with a “throwback” theme contains enough grand slam supplies to create nine cards—and coordinating envelopes—featuring classic colors, pinwheel and pinstripe patterns, and vintage-washed paper pieces. There’s no “batter” way to root, root, root for your home team and honor the all-stars in your life!

Paper Pumpkin Kit contains a couple sticks of the chewy staple; chew while you craft, slide a piece into a card, or save it for later.

Send a seventh-inning stretch in a classic card with all-star stripes, a nostalgic nod, and a stamp set fit for an MVP! Spring Front door refresh

Who's ready to spruce up their front door with an easy diy project?
I had this old galvanized half basket from Michael's in my garage
just waiting for me to find it a home...
On the front of the basket was a "Home sweet Home" sticker that I decided to cover it up as it wasn't so cute.

This is what it looks like welcoming ya'll at my door!

I had this chalkboard disk in my stash,
but you can find them at Michael's too.
You could always make a sticker from
a cricut machine or by a vinyl to add to it too
These galvanized half baskets can be found
at a lot of the stores right now.  I've seen them
at Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and Michael's

Test your handwriting skills!
Get that chalk out and write something
welcoming on your chalkboard.

I picked up some metallic silver spray paint
and gave the basket a refresh.

Check around the house to see if you have any
greens or artificial flowers or even fresh flowers
or greens that you can add to your baskets.
My greens I used were tucked away in a drawer
that I happen to find. You never know what
you've stashed away!

Take the floral block and slide it into your basket
to make sure it fits.  If you have to cut it down,
do this using a knife, I usually use a kitchen knife.
Take your greens and push them down into the block
You can stagger the heights to make it look they way you like.

Once done, push it down into the basket.
Super easy I tell yah!

To attach the chalkboard disk I used
a small piece of electrical tape to attach
it on the inside of the basket.  Use any type
of strong hold tape or you could hot glue it.
I didn't glue it in case I decide to change up
the basket at a later time.
I also used a 3D glue dot on the outside
to hold the disk in place on the front.

All done!
You can personalize yours to your taste in flowers
or color of your basket.
Add a little spring to your front door!

In good Taste

Look at all these textures!
This background paper is just amazing with all the different colors and textures that comes in the package.
This one is the brick with it's grays, beiges and white.

On the right is some basic gray paper that I ran through the big shot with a Painted Texture embossing folder.
love the look of this and how it gives just a slight
texture to the paper.

This is the Painted Texture embossing folder

In Good Taste designer paper

I used my past Paper Pumpkin stamps to create
the porch and added the "hello"
It is colored in with the aqua painter
in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Baja Blue

Petal Blooms

This happy designer paper is called Petal Blooms
Isn't it just so happy and colorful?
It's definitely a bold pattern.

I decided to soften it up by stamping some flowers
and leaves in Night of Navy over the top of the dots.
I also folded up the right side of the paper and added
white paper below it so I could stamp the "happy birthday"

I did the same fold on this card but left the
flowers and leaves off it and added glitter
speckles.

You can see the little glitter dots on this card.
I typically make neutral cards so this one is a stretch for me!
