Sweet as can bee

Grab yourself some of those mini kleenex that I showed you in a few posts back.  I find mine at the Dollar Tree.
I looked through my paper stash and found this retired bee paper.

Measure your kleenex and double the size for cutting your paper.
Mine are 4" x  5",  use some double sided tape to adhere
the two pieces together to make your kleenex wrap.

I made up three different ones and even cut a little
bee out and popped it up on top of one of the packs.

Do you remember the sweet little bee fabric bags my friend
Kirstin taught me how to make last february?
I decided to get them out and fill them with some cute bee cups.

Turned out pretty cute!
I filled it with two of the bee mugs, some see's candy and the
three kleenex's.

Storybook moments

Happy tuesday!
Working on some more of the leftover paper
from the Storybook moment dsp paper pack.
You get so many cut outs with this package.

One of the sheets has all rabbits, I just cut out about ten of them to make a set of ten spring cards to gift.

I love to sit and water color in the images, it brings me such
peace.  The paper is crumb cake and the creme cardstock was
torn before I stamped the images on top.

Storybook Garden

Feeling springy today although we are in the dead of winter.
This cute paper is from the Storybook garden suite.
Covered in veggies.
I stamped the veggies and water colored them in.

I tore the edges of the pages that I had stamped the veggies on.
Doesn't this get you in the springy mood?!

Storybook moments

Happy friday!
Easter is coming so it is time to post some Easter
card ideas.
I used the stamp sets and watercolor painters
to color in these two cards.
The cute little bunny and duck are part of the designer
series paper that I just cut out and put into the pots,

Storybook garden patch

Coming back atcha this wednesday with another
card made with the Storybook garden patch stamp set.
Again, I used the watercolor painter to color in the
pot and add the strawberries.

I used the crumb cake and real red ink pads.
Using the watercolor painters make watercoloring effortless
and forgiving.  Give them a try!

Storybook Garden Patch

We are seeking spring aren't we!
Our weather has been nothing but snow and 20 degree weather!
A bit unusual for the PNW.
But this, this new stamp set says "spring"!

STORYBOOK GARDEN PATCH CLING STAMP SET

HEREStorybook garden patch stamp set

I used the crumb cake ink pad and the granite gray to color
in the pitch fork, spade and water can.
You can do this using the watercolor painter.
Fun to use as it holds water in the receptacle and creates
a look of water coloring when you use the ink to watercolor.

Galentine's day gathering

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day!
I hosted our annual galentine's day yesterday.
I think this was our third annual gathering.

I always have so much fun getting to decorate the table
and gather everyone together.

We always have props,  the glasses!

The table,  I folded up the napkins into hearts and added
heart shaped macrons.

We had salads, homemade tomato soup and bread.

Do you host galentine's day?
Valentine's night my husband and I stayed in and made heart shaped pizza's and watched a rom-con.

Valentine tissues

Did you see my post on how I covered mini kleenex packages?
Well, here is what I decided to do with them.

I found these cute scripture valentines online that I printed out
to attach to the bags that I put the kleenex in.

I added little pieces of See's candies to the packages too
and tied them up with jute.

Look at these cute lil valentine cards....

Storybook Moments

Happy tuesday!
Sharing today some more cards made with the vintagy adorable
Storybook Moments.
I used both the stamp set and the scrapbook paper to cut out the little rabbits.

I used the aqua painter to create the watercolor look of the cards.
Start with the lightest color then add just a little more as it dries.

There are sooo many little rabbits on the dsp that you can cut out
and add to your cards.

Such a cutie little rabbit~!

Valentine treats

Here's a fun new twist on a valentine idea.
This is what it looks like unfolded and below is it all folded up and tie with some baker's twine.

Start with a sheet of scrapbook paper measured at 6" x 12"
Fold it in half.

Start to score the 6" x 12" piece of paper at every 3".

Once scored at 3", 6", 9" and 12", fold
each scored fold over.  Fold it all back up
like you see below and cut each corner.

Unfold the squares and add double back adhesive to each sides of the squares to make little pockets.

Choose whatever candies you'd like to add to the little pockets,
once the pockets are filled close them up.

I used a sharpie to make the little dashes between each pocket.
I punched out some hearts and added them to each pocket.

So cute!  Now fold it back up and gift it away!
