Italian tablescape

Ciao bella!
"hi beautiful"!
What a fun night getting to host a birthday dinner for
two dear friends.

I chose an italian theme and since we had such an incredible
day of sunshine, we were able to have dinner outside!
What a treat!

I made a simple italian dinner of papperdelle
pasta, a simple salad and some breads with marintated olives
and baked feta.

I decorated the tables with the empty cans of San Marzano peeled tomatoe cans.  I picked up some red carnations and chamomille at Trader Joes to fill up the cans.  I also had some white and yellow peonies that I added.

I added some cherry bomb tomatoes to the table as well as
on top of the napkins for the guests.

To decorate the center of the table I picked up a small loaf of rustic
bread and cut little holes along the loaf to add some candles.
It turned out so cute!

Patriotic Ribbon Wreath

Happy wednesday!
I've seen these cute ribbon stacks that are being layered and
hung from wreathsm, so I gave it a try.
I found these already stacked package at Micheal's while I was searching for ribbon by the yard.

I made mine for Memorial day with the thought of also using in for the fourth.   This stack of ribbon are all so cute.

I tied them all together at the top with some baker's twine.

I busted out my corn husk wreath from the fall and added the ribbon stack to the center.

Super cute! and oh so easy~
Here's the link for this stack of ribbon

Paper Pumpkin Mountain Majesties.

Coming atcha with the May Paper pumpkin
Mountain Majesties.
I changed the cards up and kept them simple.....

These colors are beautifully matching.
You get the pieces for each card and they are
easy to put together.

On all three cards I stamped some scripture.

I love how the 3D pieces pop up.  It gives
so much dimension to the cards.

And the last, a very simple landscape
What do you think?

Fabric bag

Happy friday~
I had some left over fabric from a project I had done and thought
there has to be something I can make with it.
I found this idea online.  It's super easy.

Fold your large piece of fabric in half.

take the center and put a knot in the center.
Fold the bag in half inside out and start to sew up each side
about 7".

This is the only sewing you need to do.
Once you have sewn each side, inside out the
bag and you have completed your bag!

How cute is this~

Dollar Tree plate redo

Check out this cute plate and bowl I found at the dollar tree!

I love everything about this design, a little eclectic,
modern and fun.

Let's turn this into a fun and fresh dessert pedestal.

Grab yourself some E-6000 glue and turn your bowl upside
down, run some glue around the rim and set your plate atop
the bowl.  Let your plates dry overnight.
Once dry, take a look at this cute pedestal plate you have!

such a great design, all for $2.50!

Homemade pasta

Happy sunday!
take a look at the homemade pasta we made.
The newlyweds came over for Mother's day and brought everything we needed to make homemade pasta.
It was soooo much fun!

We laughed and giggled our way through kneading, and stretching
the dough.  They even turned on some italian music while we cooked.

They brought over their Kitchen aid pasta maker
attachment.  It was fun to see how easy this attachment
works to spread out the dough and cut it.

Dan's asking if he should open another bottle of wine for
the pasta making!  By the look on Shae's face I'd say the answer
was yes~

The kids had to reenact "lady and the tramp"
pasta tasting moment with a sealed kiss at the end.
We had so much fun that I forgot to take a picture of
our pasta once it was made.
Shae made an incredible lemon butter parmesan sauce to top it off.
Such a fun time!  Love my little family!

Lemon tablescape

I hosted a luncheon this past week for a 'zesty" friend
who is moving away.
We loved all our time together and it was so fun getting to
honor her and send her on her way.......
Always so long, never goodbye.

I made up these little plate cards that read,
a sweet friendship refreshes the soul from Proverbs 27:9

I picked up some fresh flowers and lemons and bamboo
skewers to make this flower arrangement.
I used a floral block inside the vase and took the
lemons and bamboo and slid the lemon onto the
skewer then stuck them inside the block of the vase.
Added the flowers and greens and there you go.

I used some lemons and greens in the center of the table
with a little sign I wrote out.

And this beautiful masterpiece of a heavenly
lemon cake that our dear friend Jodi made.

Citrus Blooms

Happy Monday!
Don't be 'sour" over the weekend being over,
here's a fun citrus card for you to try.

This is a fun and easy fold for you to try.
Cut your cardstock regular sized at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4,
then fold one side over again.

You can see what that looks like in this above pic.
I also cut a piece of white cardstock to fit the inside of the card.

I stamped a sweet friendship message in the center.
How do you like this fold?
Would you give it a try?
