You can use these for pies, cakes, cookies, etc.
So sweet.
You could also bake someone a treat to take to their house
and gift them the plate with the dessert on top!

Last, but certainly not least, theses gorgeous
floral wine bouquets.
I will show you how to make these using everything
from your garden.

You can see each one looks so different.

Embroidery

Well this fills my heart......
when the next generation comes to you and wants to you to teach them embroidery.  My mama heart~
I went into action!

I taught them the basic three stitches, straight stitch, satin stitch and the chain stitch.  They went straight to work and got very quiet focusing on their stitches and designs.

so focused......

The smiles say it all.....
They left with a new found love of embroidery and their projects to keep pouring into.

One of the girls went home and added the chain stitch to her book bag
on the handles, she even made the chain stitch into a flower.
I love being able to pour into the girls a love that was a part of my life growing up.  It's so important to share these long lost hobbies.
What a fun time with them!

Wedding Season!

It's wedding season!
Time to make a few wedding cards to have on hand.
These are just made with left over scraps

I used the paper from the Wildflower birthday suite.
The gingham is so cute coupled with the flowers.

Both cards are the same, just different colors,
I cut the little flowers out from a scrap piece of paper.
Do you have weddings to attend this summer?

4th of July vase decor

Happy monday!
Head to your dollar tree.
I personally had been seeking out some vintage style white
vases at Value Village or Goodwill with no avail.
Stopped by my local dollar tree and found the above white
vases, for yes, $1.25 each!
The flags are also there.....
So what did I do with them?

I put the flags into the vases for some 4th of July decor

loving this vintagy vibe....

Floral wine bouquets

Happy saturday~
I held my creative class the other night and here is one
of the items we made.
A flower wine bouquet~

I'll list the link to the little pod that you can either tie to your bottle
or use the adhesive on the back or tie it on.
I used the peonies in my yard for the guests and some other
cuts from the yard to complete the bouquet.

They started by building with the peonies first,
then just add the other filler greens and flowers to fill it up.
These should last you about 3-4 days.  if they seems like they need
water give them just a little bit.
Aren't they darling?

Father's day bag

Let's make a cute Father's day bag.
Get yourself any size kraft gift bag to do this craft.

Take your scissors and cut into the sides of the top of the bag.

Once cut slide them open as you see below....

Pop the sides out to create the shirt sleeves,
be sure to fold them down.

The bag should look like this.....

Take some ribbon of your choice and tie a necktie around
the neck of the bag, then adhere the collar down with either
tape or glue.

Microwave Peony drying

Did you know you can dry peonies in the microwave?

Cut your peony right to the tip top

All cut and ready to go....

It's a beaut....
Gather some cardboard, two pieces so you can "sandwich" your bud between the two.

Lay the bud on top of the first piece of cardboard,
then the top piece and press down to slightly
flatten it.

Like you see above here

Now head over to your microwave.
You will want to set your microwave to 50% power,
set the cardboard with the bud sandwiched in the microwave
and add a heavy bowl on top. Close the microwave and
run it four times at 1 minute increments. By the fifth one
your bud will be a bit hot and dried. If you find your bud is not
quite dry, try one more round at a minute.  Be careful not
to burn it by over heating the bud.

And here it is all dried!
I put mine in a frame, isn't it beautiful?
And to think it was dried in the microwave!

What do you think?
Would you try this?

Star spangled banner

Happy sunday!
Was shopping and saw quite a few framed star spangled banner
framed art and thought,  I can make one of those!
So, off to the internet to find a printable image.
Here is the beauty I landed on.

It's sheet music with the american flag floating
through the middle. It has somewhat of a
vintage vibe to it.

I had the gray wash frame on hand and
decided to use it instead of buying something.
As I always say,  use what you have!

Here it is up close.  Love it~

Below is the image that I used.
You can right mouse click on it to save to your
computer and print it out.
