I wanted to share this beautiful candle that my dear friend Joan made and suprised me with this week.  I just love how she put it all together.  She also gave me the most inspiring and thoughtful card- truly grateful

I shared with you a few weeks ago the birch candles that my daughter Shaelyn made me.  Well, she has made more, so I decided to bring the outdoors in this Thanksgiving by dressing up my table with her creations.  I also added the birch disks that we cut up and faux-wood burned. 
We are ready for my entire family to come together and celebrate.  However your Thanksgiving finds you, I hope your having a wonderful day.

Remembering Christmas

I have had this stamp set -(Remembering Christmas) sitting on my studio table and decided to get creating with it!
I used the faux bark paper from the Thankful Tablescape kit, and attached it to the Chocolate chip cardstock.  The envelope is crumb cake and the deer is stamped in crumb cake as well.

Chrismtas Candles

Here is another project we made at my classes the other night.  Christmas candles.   Have you tried this technique?  You take a piece of tissue paper and stamp your image on it.  I happen to use our Stampin Up! Music Note roller wheel stamp, and stamped it in Soft suede ink.  You then take your embossing tool out and carefully hold the tissue on to the candle and heat it with the tool  the tissue melts right into the candle!  It is so fun to make and try!
Then all you do is add your favorite ribbon and some beautiful butterflies and you have a pretty candle to give someone special.

Cardstock:  Real Red, Garden Green, tissue paper
Accessories- Basic Pearls, Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, soft suede ink

Advent Trees

We had such a fun night wednesday night making these Advent Trees!  The trees were purchased at a local craft store.
Products Used:
Cardstock- Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Season of Style paper pack
Accessories- 1 3/8" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch 1 1/4" scallop circle

The girls were all so proud of their trees!  They turned out fabulous!

I saw these cute clips at convention last summer and decided to give them a whirl...
Your base piece which is the cherry cobbler should be cut at 3  3/4 x 5" and the Old Olive paper should be cut at 2 1/2" x 5.  The chocolate chip piece is cut from the Deco Label framelit die, and the polka dot piece is one size smaller of the deco label die.
The clothespins are covered with our Season of Style Washi tape.
I put magnets on the back so you can  use them on the frig.
The design  on the Old Olive paper is the Music Notes wheel stamp.
