Halloween table ideas

      

Happy Hallow's Eve!   Wanted to share just a few fun tablescape ideas with you this freaky friday.  You can glean a couple ideas from these great tables that I found at a few blogs.  There are some that you can easily incorporate to your table.  Easy is EASY right?

Love the one above, using a little cheesecloth from your kitchen and  some candles you may have in the house.  Instant spookiness!

                           

Have any antlers laying around the yard or house?  This would be just gorgeous to do.  If you do have any laying around, would you mind shipping me some?

                                 

Do you like a more frightful Halloween?  Then this tablescape is for YOU!  and did you know you can purchase almost all of these things in this photo at the Dollar Tree?  No lie!  even the spanish moss. Yep.  Not a plug for Dollar Tree, just letting you know they have them!

               

And how elegant is this one.  Add a tablecloth from your drawer, your plates.  Then head on down to your Dollar Tree for the crows and the skeletons.  You can do this!  Doesn't have to be exactly the same, add a few of the little white pumpkins from the grocer and there you have it.  

                                                   

And here's the last one.  Love it!  a plate, red napkin and those                                        super cheap plastic fangs!   

Now that I have slightly (Ha!) inspired you to decorate your Hallowen table.  Go out there,  Eat, drink and be Scary tomorrow!

Pallet Art

Been a little under the weather the last few days but wanted to share this pallet I made for my brother-in-law's birthday.  He's definitely a Cabela's kind of guy!

Anywho,  There are just 5 different sized pieces of wood I used to make this pallet.  I nailed them all to the back two slats. I used then hand drew the the deer head and used acrylic paint in espresso.

To give it that aged look I used Rustoleum stain in dark walnut and a dry brush.  

Skeleton Treats

Getting ready to get your spook on?  here's some little treats I put together with yogurt covered pretzels.

I packaged 7 pretzels in a cello bag, tied off the top added the skeleton and bow tie using the bow tie punch.

Pumpkin Pin

Here's fun and easy pin to make for your teacher's halloween treat bag.  Check out the instructions below to make one.

Now you could use a sponge dauber if you like with some chocolate chip ink and just lightly shade the edges of the pumpkin.  I used a glue gun to attach the pin to the back as well as the ribbon to the top of the pumpkin.

Paper Pumpkin

These are our new super lacey spider web doilies.  On one side they are black and flip them over and they are white.  I chose to use the white side of them.  Glue them down to your card  and add our dazzling details (glitter) to the web and let dry.  I stamped and cut out the spider with the framelit set Boo to You. Halloween Treat Bags

Trick or Treat bags are something I need to make whether for friends or teachers.  This one here is pretty darn fun and easy to make.  I bought the brown sacks with stripes at Target, 100 for $1.49.  Can't beat that price!  I then cut strips of paper, 2 of them at 3 X 12" and score them every 1/2".   Once you score them you can then put them together to create the rosette.   I added our amazing Spider Web Doilies and stamped the raven from the Witches' Night stamp set.

Halloween Town

There hasn't been much creating going on over here the last few days.  Well.... there has but not card style! 

Are any of you Halloween Town fans?  well, this weekend we took a trek down to St Helens, Oregon to see and view St. Helens Halloween town.  The actual spot where parts of the film Halloween Town was filmed!   It was great fun. The original cast member Kimberly Brown, also known as Marnie in the film was there to light the infamous pumpkin at City Hall. 

We had a bit of a storm come through at one point.....

There were over 3,000 people that came from all over.  This picture was taken early on in the day before the crowds came through.

The lighting of the pumpkin.  There were hundreds of people dressed up in costumes, many of which where similiar to costumes from the movie.

Witches' Night

Sharing two different cards made with the stamp set Witches' Night.  Each one looks similar, but the difference is just using different stamps from the set.

Bat Forks

Every Halloween I love to put on a spooky dinner for my family. I usually make up a creepy menu and sometimes serve up some really gross looking food.  Decorating the table is a must too..

Here look how easy it is to make these cute little bats.  Just take and punch out some bats,  I punched both big and small ones.

Big ones for the adult forks and small for the smaller appetites.

Once you have them punched out just slide them between the tines of the fork.  How simply cute is this!!!!!
