Rice dyed Easter eggs

Sharing this fun new way we tried dyeing Easter eggs

this past weekend.  Save this for next year, it was really 

fun and suprisingly worked well!

Start with some lunch baggies, food coloring, white rice and hard boiled eggs.  Put 1/2 cup of any white rice into each separate baggie for the different colors you have. 

Put your eggs into each bag, close bag and start to gently manipulate the rice around the egg till you get the desired color.

It will start to look like this,

but once you work the color around they

turn out like the eggs below.

And look at those colors!!!

So fun and different!
