Thanksgiving tablesetting idea

Sharing a little favor idea I did for our Thanksgiving
table.  These are cute little plastic domes I ordered on Amazon
that I filled with some chocolates and pumpkin spice jojo's from Trader Joe's.   I tied some jute around them and added some baby's breath.  I love how simple they turned out.

We put them on everyone's plate

The table decor is a very natural and simple,
I always try and use what I have on hand.
That means I like to look around the house and in drawers and cupboards to bring out things maybe I haven't seen or thought about
in sometime before I go and buy more things.

I used a natural brown tablecloth in the center of the table
and just scrunged it up to set the candles and dried leaves on top of.
You get to choose!  Use what you have and get creative!
It's always fun to add your own style and personality to your table.
Even take some time before Thanksgiving to set your table and try a few different ideas, remember you can also bring the outside in too!
I have dried grasses I use from my yard as well as rosemary and lambs ear to decorate with.  Whatever you do,  just have fun trying!

Dino birthday card

Well, finally you say,  she's posting a card!
We have a sweet 3 year old in our family.
Little Miles turned 3 this weekend, our niece's
son.  What three year old doesn't like dino's.

I used some numbers background paper that has been retired for I would say YEARS.  Layered it up and stamped the dino and numbers.
Time to celebrate this little man!

Halloween Fun!

A few days late but here we are in all the spooky fun!

Muuuuwaaaahhhhh!

It's been a tradition for years even when
my girls were little that I do a spooky halloween
dinner.  Every year it is different.
I always decorate the table and make a creepy dessert.

On the menu for dinner was bloody rat....
(meatloaf)

His ears are thin sliced red potatoes, the eyes
and nose are olives and the whiskers, spaghetti noodles and
the fangs are carrots.

As disgusting as it looks, it was delicious!

I made mashed potatoes that I piped through a baker's tube and added peppercorns for eyes.

And last but not least,
green creepy deviled eggs.
Until next year, it was a fun Halloween!
