Lamb planter redo

Happy tuesday!

I found this lambiepie planter on Amazon and waited to buy it as I was hoping I would get it gifted to me for my birthday.  And sure enough,

my sister gave me it!

Although the silver tone is pretty, it just doesn't go with my decor vibe so I decided to give it a redo by using some metallic wax on it in a burnt sienna color. 

All I did was use and old wash rag and slowly added smears of the the 

wax to it until I got the desired look I was aiming for. 

I love how it turned out! 

Just enough of a difference so that it doesn't look silver.

Well worth trying!

Goodlazy donuts!

This amazing donut shop just opened locally in Issaquah and the donuts are the bomb!

They are a very soft brioche type donut filled with the most unique

flavors that change on the menu weekly.  

They post on Instagram what the weekly flavors are.

The lines are insane so getting there early is suggested as

they run out of donuts usually before 11am.

This one above is called Cookie Butter

others that they have featured are

red lentil, black sesame, matcha, boston creme, custard,

pistachio, whipped ube, vanilla bean, tiramisu, strawberry lemonade,

carrot cake and more!

Be sure and check for their rotations.

Make plans for a field trip to this delish establishment!

If you have tried hawaiian malasadas which are a donut

as well, this would be what they are like and taste like.

Roozengaarde Tulips

It's tulip time in the PNW!

We hopped in the car on one of the most 

gorgeous days to see the tulips in Mount Vernon.

It was much more crowded than we expected, but

as always, never disappoints. 

the colors and varieties this year were so unique.

each new one just got better and better. 

so many of the tulips looked like dahlia's 

Have you been to the tulip festival?

If you are local it's a must, and if not,

it's truly amazing how many tourist come from all over

the world as well as the US to come experience it.

Easter

What an incredible Easter sunday it was!

We started off having our church service held up at the Angels

of the Wind Arena.  Such a beautiful morning worshiping the Lord!

From there we were invited to Shae's in-laws for Easter dinner with

their whole family.  The food was amazing and Heidi always decorates and sets the most gorgeous table.

The only thing missing was our girl Shelby who we look forward to seeing very soon.

Easter sweetness

Happy saturday!

How about a quick and easy card for Easter?

What you do need is a rabbit punch, if you don't have one

a flower or any spring like punch will work.

Cut out your cardstock to the size you like.

Your bottom layer you will punch your image out,

then on the reverse side of the cardstock tape

down any patttern spring like paper.

Add your greeting and mount up all three layers and there you have it!

Storybook friends

Happy thursday!

Back with a quick little Easter card for you to pump out.

This card is made with the gorgeous Storybook friends designer

series paper.   I used a square punch and punched out the 

veggies then mounted it onto some pumpkin pie cardstock.

I used the rabbit punch with white cardstock and punch them out

and mounted them onto the veggie paper.

Such sweet paper.....

Are you ready for Easter?

 

Flourish gathering

It was a full weekend of fun celebrating our last gather for the Flourish

women's ministry.

Instead of a typical convention this year, it was changed up to a morning of games and guest panels, food and a full marketplace 

with vendor shopping. 

I was able to secure this adorable card for us to use for the desserts.

We used wooden barrels and crates to hold fresh fruit.

My girlfriend Jodi made over 400 mini cupcakes flavored

in coconut, lemon and strawberry.

They were beyond delish! 

The main table hosted all the charcuterie cups complete with our 

"floursh" sticker.   We had over 200 some women who attended. 

The day proved to be specail!

We now take a break until the fall season when

Flourish will start up again.....
