Dahlia Class

Yesterday was a fun filled day of learning all about Dahlia planting.

I hosted a fundraiser for Flourish ministries.

We had a group of lovely ladies sign up to come over and learn how to plant, grow and care for a dahlia garden. 

Lisa and her mom Georgia came to teach the class.

Georgia brought buckets of her gorgeous

dahlia's for the ladies to see all the varieties and textures

of the different types of dahlia's you can choose from.

She herself has over 80 dahlia plants in her garden.

To top of the class we took a "field trip" next door to my neighbor's who is an amazing gardener.  She has an impressive dahlia garden boasting over 850 dahlia plants, yes, you read that right! 

The ladies were able to go over and walk thru her garden and saw first hand sooo many different types of dahlia's.

We all had such a great time despite the 98 degree weather we were in!
