DIY Dollar Tree Boo frame

Boo'd ya!
I shared with you a few weeks ago the black
arched frames I found at the dollar tree,
well they also have them in white.
What a better way to use them then turn
them into a cute little ghost!

All you need for this craft is the frame,
a piece of black vinyl and a small oval punch.

Start by opening your frame up and taking the back out and cutting
to size a white piece of cardstock to add to the frame.
Close the frame back up and begin to punch out three black
ovals.  Place them right on top of the front of the glass of the frame,
you can also choose to add it to the white paper before you close up the frame, either will work.

It's that easy!

and glue them down.

Dollar Tree diy candles

Happy monday!
I am loving all the Halloween items at all the stores coming out and Dollar Tree never disappoints.
What you see above are some led candles they sell there that I decoupaged with some halloween napkins I found at Homegoods.

What you will need for this project are some napkins, mod podge, a sponge brush and the candles.

To start separate the layers of the napkins to where you will be
left with a thin layer of the patterned napkin.

Using your sponge brush and the mod podge, brush
a little of the mod podge and then start to wrap the candle
with the napkin.

Once they are dry, (takes about an hour)
brush a very light coat of the mod podge over the top of
the wrapped candle and let dry.  Cut around the top of the
candles to cut away the over hang at the top and they should look
like above.  If you get the candles from the dollar tree they have a wave at the top as you can see in the picture.

All lit up and ready to spook!

Dollar Tree felt cats

Happy monday!
Last fall I showed you these ghost on a stick that we made at
our creative class.
I found these cute black felt cats at the Dollar Tree and thought
they would be so cute along side of the felt ghost.

There are 12 felt cats in the package and I found these
at the dollar tree.  I also found these googlie eyes.

Get out your glue gun and glue the two felt cat pieces together
making sure you leave an opening at the bottom to insert
the dowel.
Choose whatever ribbon you'd like to decorate your halloween
dowel with.  I used just a little bit of glue to hold in into place.

These are so cute and can be put into a vase or a bunch of flowers
or tucked around the house or on your porch.
Fun to make yourselves or with the kids.

Having fun getting ideas going for fall and Halloween.

Frames and flowers returns

Happy saturday!
Yes!
I am back with the last of ALL the cards I made with the frames and flowers dsp.  I have shared over the course of the month all the things
that I made with what you receive with the paper and pieces included.

Both of the these are were made with the left over
pieces that I had.  Very simple both of them.

This is a little treat bag holder that I attached the wreath piece
to.  Again very simple.

Three more left over pieces were used for this one.
I love getting new sets and paper and one of the things
I enjoy doing is creating at least 5 cards/projects with them.
In the case of this pack of dsp I was able to make 15 or more
cards/projects with it.  That's a whole lot of cards!
I hope you've enjoyed my "frames and flowers'" series!
Hahahaaa!
