Good day!
Let's have some St. Patrick's day fun!
Do you decorate for St. paddy's day?
Well get out your construction paper and kindergarten scissors for this one.
This is the chalkboard in my butler's pantry that I love to decorate the holidays
with. Everything from chalkboard writing to added decor pieces.
This one MAY look like it would take long, but believe me it doesn't.
I bought a pack of green papers at Michaels, it comes with 5-6 different shades of
green and it a lighter weight of paper than using the stampin up weight paper.
The reason for this is the bendability of the paper, easier to manipulate for stapling and shaping.
Choose two green shades and cut your pieces at 1" x 11", cut extra for the shamrock stem that you will cut in half to create the "tail; of the shamrock.
Start by folding your pieces in half, take each piece and create a heart by
folding the open ends to the center and stapling them.
Once all your hearts are assembled create a shamrock by stapling each heart together,
add the tail at the end by stapling it in place as well. Set them aside and start your rainbow piece.
The rainbow piece consists of one of each of these colors,
purple, blue, green, red, yellow.
Cut each of the five pieces at 1 x 11' cutting each one 1' smaller than the first.
Stack them and staple each side to create the rainbow. Cut out two hand drawn
clouds and hot glue them on top of the colored pieces.
Line up the rainbow and shamrocks on each side and start to hot glue them together.
At the end of each side I tied some green ribbon to use to hang it.
Turns out so cute!
Have fun making one of these!
