Hello Spring!

Hello!

A friend of mine and myself visited the Mount Vernon

tulips up in the Skagit Valley.

If you are not aware of this annual tradition, please take time to google it.  It is absolutely amazing and gorgeous to go see.

Between the snow capped mountains, clear blue skies and fields and fields of daffodils and tulips.  You'd think you were in Holland!

The tulips became the idea for today's card.

All the beauty I got to experience,

so thankful for the time there. 

 I layered this background paper and then made the tag for on top.

To make the tag I punch out the tag punch and then fussy cut out the 

cute tulips and raised them up for the 3d effect. 

I water colored the tulips in with two different pink colors.

All in all I love how it turned out!

Ten Years of Growth

Hello!

Here is card #3 from the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Yeah, yeah, I know,  I am a bit late to the party.

So this is the last of the three cards and aren't they all great!

It was worth stretching them out all week.

This one has the holographic leaves on it and has cut outs.

Ten Years of Growth: March 2023 Paper Pumpkin

                    

                   Well,  it's been 10 years of Paper Pumpkin!

And this month's kit is gorgeous!  Check out the paper up close,

                             it has a holographic look to it. 

This is just one of the cards in this kit, I will share more with you this week so stay tuned.  Unless that is, that you have this kit already!

I double layered the roses to give it a 3d look. 

The little pearls come in the kit.

Rain or Shine

Well, it keeps raining and raining here.

I was out and found these cute car fresheners with rain boots on them.

The scent is "rainshine" and I am always up for making a cute give away for any reason so the challenge was on~

I used the boots from one of the Paper Pumpkin kits and stamped them in Melon Mambo and used a water painter to create the water under the boots. 

The clear water drop embellishments are also left over from 

a Paper Pumpkin (don't throw away those extras! EVER!)

You will find a way to use them at some point. 

And all put together and ready to gift!

Delivering Cheer

Happy tuesday!

Cleaning out things and using ALL the things laying around.

The background paper is leftover from a Paper Pumpkin.

I pulled out the Delivering Cheer set to make a few cards

to have on hand. 

I used the stampin write makers to color in the flowers and

coat.  

I stamped the paper around the flowers twice and cut it out

to pop it up.  Cute quick easy card for you!

Charming Sentiments

Happy Sunday!

There is a new stamp set that has all these amazing greetings in them and this is just one of them. 

The set is called Charming Sentiments.

When I was visitng my bff in Spokane she embossed

in gold the "faith over fear" onto the oval cut out

then layered it onto the designer paper then onto

a tag.   So pretty!

I took the tag and layered it on top of the designer paper then onto

the cardstock.  The ribbon and cording add just the right touch of pop to the card.

Queen Bee

Happy friday!

We made it another week!

Do you have a birthday Queen's day coming up?

I have shown you this set before but wanted to share again as if you might want to get it be sure and order before May 2nd

before the new catalog drops.

The set includes the pieces you see here to create this card minus the white honeycomb background which is an embossing folder. 

I carefully fussy cut out the little flowers and crown andd add them

on the bee.  Each are popped up with dimensionals. 

I used the black stampin write markers to draw the little

dots showing where the bee has flown. 

The color ink and paper used is the Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.

Ten Years of Growth: March 2023 Paper Pumpkin

                          

With Easter in full swing this month I forgot to post the March Paper Pumpkin.  It's called Ten Years of Growth......

Very springy and lots of floral.... .check out the video on how to put

the kit together, or wing it and create what you like!

                                Here are my creations.....

I left my cards blank so that I can customize them

to the needs of the celebrations that arise.

The kit holds all these pieces,  you just assemble the cards.

Doesn't get any easier than that!

The Itty Bitty Cottage

I received some special "happy mail"

yesterday from the Itty Bitty Cottage.

I opened the box to find these gorgesous

chenille looking eggs and matching rabbit.

She does amazing creations!

These eggs are so sweet, the lace ribbon, so pretty. 

She hand makes her pieces, look at the pedestal the rabbit is on. 

Made for such an adorable display.

Mini toasted coconut Palovas

Happy saturday!

I was looking for a light dessert to serve for Easter and have

always wanted to try a hand at making palovas.

They are differnet than merique's, outside crisp on the outside,

soft on the inside.  Merique's are very crispy. 

These were very easy to make suprisingly.

I used my kitchenaid to make them which made them

easy and quick. 

This is the consistency once it's all mixed up. 

The recipe calls for a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice that

you just fold into the batter. 

The recipe yielded 30 mini cups.

I stuffed mine with just a little bit of coconut whip cream

and added a strawberry and blueberrie on top. 

Did I say how deliscious they are?

Happy Easter! 

Easter Name placment favors

I thought I'd share an easy idea for an Easter

favor for your tables. 

I started with these peat moss little pots I found

at the Dollar Tree (10 for $1.25)

and also some kraft colored grass and a 

piece of paper cut at 2" x 3".

I chose a little chick stamp I had but you can use a bunny or any other stamp that you think might go with the Easter theme. 

Start by taking some scissors and cutting a small slit on each 

side of the pot. 

Next stamp your image on your piece of cardstock and 

add the grass to the pot. 

Once your pot is filled at the tag by pushing it into

the slit your created. 

Now it's time to add some jelly beans and your names 

to the placement cards and set your table!
