Garden tablescape

Spring has sprung!
It was a fun time celebrating a friend with her love of
nature/garden.  So that called for a tablescape of all
things green and garden.

I found some terra cotta pots in my garage that needed
a refresh so I got out my acrylic paints and started
with a light taupe, then a darker brown then a gray
to create the pots.

I love how they turned out!
Each pot is filled with lavendar, rosemary and lamb's ear,
all out of my garden that I cut and using a floral block
just add them to the pots.

These cute little plastic heart shaped cups
are perfect for little charcuterie cups.
They are filled with two crackers, almonds,
pistachio's, a toothpick with an olive, slice of cheese,
salami and tomatoe, I cut a sprig of rosemary to add
and a small little chocolate bar.
See the cute moss ball?  I found them on amazon and
filled it with a bit of spanish moss and some plastic eggs.

Decoupage prosecco bottle

Here's a fun gift idea for you to try,
you can make these for birthdays, bridal showers,
baby showers.  Skies the limit!
Pick out a bottle of bubbles and napkins.
You can use any type of bottles, wine, champagne,
even apple cider.

Start by taping off the labels on your bottle,
then using white acrylic paint and a sponge
brush go slowly and let dry between each layer of paint.
These pictures are of just one layer, you will need to paint
at least four layers of paint to completely coat the bottles.

This is what four layers of paint looks like.
Completely covers the bottles.
Let them dry completely modge podging the napkins.
To modge podge the napkins, use a sponge brush
and lightly add it to the bottle.
Take your napkin and make sure a peel it apart so that
it's one sheet, it will be very fragile.
Start to place it over the bottle, cutting more pieces
to cover the bottle til it's completely covered.
Let dry and take a look at how it looks when
it's all done.

so gorgeous!!

It might look like I cut out the flowers on the napkin, but I did not.
I just cut big pieces and added til it was covered.
Love how they turned out.

Pocket paper vases

Happy Memorial day!
Have you got some empty toilet paper rolls hanging around?
Well look what you can make with them!
I have a brand where the roll is white and another brand where the roll is kraft colored. Either way they will make cute little paper vases.

Start by flattening (folding) your roll in half,
I used a burnisher to score my folds.
On the bottom of your roll, fold up about 1/4" of an inch
and score to flatten.

Looks like this....

If you want you can try to cut one of your vases to mimic
a vase by cutting into the sides like you see above.
Or you can leave it as a square uncut.

Now using your glue gun, glue the 1/4" piece up.

Just needs a little glue..... hold in place to secure.

Now stamp whatever images you like to the front of each
paper vase.  I used a white uni-glo pen to add the centers of the flowers
on both.

Now add some twine or colored ribbon of your choice.
Add a magnet to the back so that they can be stuck to your
refrigerator.

They are ready to be filled with dried flowers
or fresh, you get to pick!
I had these dried ones on hand so that's what I used.

How cute do they look on the frig?

I hope you give these a try and if you do, send
me some pics!
Have a great day reflecting on Memorial day....

that where in scrap pile to complete this card.

paper....

Flower butter plate

Here's a fun little idea for you to try.
I took out a cube of butter and using a small
knife and dinner plate spread small "leaves" of
butter around the plate for the outer layer of the flower.

Keep going til you create a full sunflower.
I added some blueberries to the center and sprinkled
the butter with sea salt.
It was a hit!
Give it a try!

Happily ever after

It's wedding season!
Out come the florals and beautiful sayings to send!
This paper is from last year's catalog.
but it doesn't mean you can't make this card with
floral paper you have on hand.

I free cut out the scallop overlay with scissors
and adhered it over the floral paper.
Add the oval mauve cardstock and some ribbon.
Ready to wish someone a happily ever after!

Happy Mother's day!

Happy Mother's day!
These two cuties made me a Mom and I
am blessed by them immensely!
Hoping you are celebrating with those you love today
and feeling extra special and appreciated!

Were you able to take in the Aurora Borealis last night?
It was spectacular!
This was right in our backyard and neighborhood!
Bucket list completed!

The colors came through much brighter on my phone,
from what I understand the new camera's are able to pick up light better than the naked eye.  Use your video also to get the
brighest colors.   What a treat this was!

Navy and white

I've been loving all the navy and white trends for months now,
I love the clean fresh look so I took it to paper.

You can use any of your stamp sets to create this effect.
I used Night of Navy and white cardstock.
What ever stamp set you use stamp the image all over the white cardstock to cover it.  That's it!
So easy to do, then add the greeting.
