Hot Cocoa whip cream bombs

Happy friday friends!
This is fun!
Give it a try,  you need some whip cream in a can, some cookie cutters,
they can be plastic or aluminum, and cookie sheets.
Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper and lay the cookie cutters
bottom side up on the pan.

What are we making you ask?
These cute hot cocoa whip cream bombs!
Take your whip cream and add it to your cookie cutters generously
to fill the cutter to the top like you see mine are.

Now for the fun,
add any sprinkles you'd like, I happen to have on hand these
christmas sprinkles, but use what ever you like.

Now for the magic,
pop them in the freezer for at least 2 or more hours or til you need them.
Take them out and pop them out of the cutters and drop them into
your hot cocoa!  so fun!
I totally forgot to take a picture of them in our mugs!
The are so cute and festive!
Give them a try!

Out of the freezer ready to use.....

Christmas wine bottle bouquets

Happy wednesday!
Here's a fun and easy way to dress up any type of bottle for the holidays to take to a dinner or to just gift to a friend.  Also looks so pretty on the sparkling cider bottles too!
I found these floral baubles on Amazon that are just the right size to use,
you can go wild with loading it up with a lot of greens or flowers or just keep
it on the simple side.

They measure 2" across and 2 1/2" high.
There are two ways you can attach them to the bottles...

You can see here on the back of the floral green that they
can be stuck right to the bottle by removing the adhesive backing,
OR you can run ribbon through the sides to be able to tie them
to the bottle.

Like you see here....
I cut the greens for these bouquets from the yard which included
fresh rosemary, cedar, holly and some added greens.
I went to the grocery store and bought the little mums too
add and had the christmas balls on hand.

To make these start by sticking the christmas balls in the center then the longer stems into the top and sides of the floral base and just keep going.
There is no wrong way, the more the add the beauty just
happens!  Add your mini mums at the very end.
I tried to find only small flowers to use instead of larger ones as
this is a small bouquet.
Have fun trying these!

Christmas treat holders diy

Happy monday!
Don't throw those empty containers from Costco away!
You know the ones, candy holders, peanut holders, you know what I mean.
I always keep them for something.  In this case it was to make these little holiday gifts filled with the chex muddie buddies.

These are easy to make, I take extra left over Christmas cards and used
them to cover the label on the container.  I cut it to fit and corner punched
the sides and glued it to the front.

ready to gift.......

extra christmas cards...save them, use them!

Flourish annual gathering

Happy saturday!
This is our Flourish through the ministry small group that I co-lead with my ginger sister Cheryl.  We spend two sessions together, one in the fall and one in the spring on different studies written by our mentor/leader Marjie Schaefer.
We small group loves to gather at the end of our fall study for some holiday cheer.

There is always lots of fun, karaoke and crafts.

They were all working on fresh bottle bouquets,

Vintage Santa mugs

I have been looking at and wanting to find any vintage santa mugs or pitchers.
I have searched everywhere only to find that they are beyond expensive, like $150 on up!
While shopping at Hobby Lobby I came across this large santa pitcher.
I was on there on their 50% off sale making it only $10!

I grabbed some Dover White spray paint and sprayed two
coats of the paint on the pitcher.  It turned out great!

It turned out just how I have envisioned!
Looks so good next to the little santa mugs

Decoupage christmas jars

Hello!
Get ready for some crafting fun!
Grab some jars that you might have laying around.
You will need some acrylic paint, sponge brush, some holiday napkins, gold twine or ribbon,
a gold permanent pen and some modge podge.
Let's do this!

I have found that HomeGoods and Marshalls are two really great places
to pick up napkins, they both have a great variety to choose from.

I just happen to have these cutie little yogurt jars that I am using
but you can use any size you have.  I also made one using a spaghetti jar
that I will share with you.

\\

Making sure your jar is clean, start by brushing on two coats of your color of acrylic.
It can be any color that compliments your napkin.  I just chose this beige as my
napkin has a light background, but any color will look good.  Let the paint
dry between coats.

Now take out your napkin, most all napkins have two layers,
did you know this?  well, they do so we want to separate
them.  Some easily just peel away, but if you've chose
one that doesn't lightly wet your finger tips to be able to grab
onto the napkin to separate it.  Peel it away so that you are left with
just the image side which will be almost like tissue paper.

At this point you will start to cut pieces that fit to your jar.  I cut a circle for the bottom
to cover it, but you don't have to.  My jars are so small and short that I felt it necessary to do so.   Cut pieces to fit the sides as well.  This is a very forgiving craft so if you don't cut straight or enough you can add pieces.  The modge podge should be put on first with a very LIGHT layer.  I see this in my classes all the time, people slather it on which will create your napkin to crinkle and tear.  just use a little bit to adhere your napkin.  Once adhered, add another light coat over top and let dry.

In these two pictures you can see the difference in using ribbon and
gold twine.  Not sure which one I like better......

Final touches are using the gold pen to line the rim of the jar and adding the ribbon or cording of your choice.  Then add treats!

Wooden Ornament

If you're looking for a quick and easy craft for yourself or the kids or classroom,
this is one for you!
These little wooden tags can be found at Hobby Lobby as well as the little
wooden cut outs.  All you need is some glue and that's it!
Glue your cute little images right to the wooden tags and that's it.
You could color them in with markers, but I think they are cute
just as they are!

Thanksgiving food bin

Aunt Linda's skellies are back Thanksgiving style!
Such a cute set up to get everyone in the holiday
spirit!
I truly LOVE my aunt's heart, take a look at what she displayed out on her front lawn, a cute decorated table with a bin full of food and a message....

She wrote on the top of the bin
"A friend in need is a friend indeed"
Please help yourself to needed items.
Please feel free to add items to the bin.
My aunt says she has gone through one full bin and now onto another.
She is full of kindness in helping others during this Thanksgiving season.  I am so proud of her!
What a great idea and way to give back to others!
