Rehearsal

We survived and are relishing the full 4 days of wedding bliss over here.

I first thought I would share the rehearsal dinner put on by my son in love's family.  It was held at the back of a restaurant that faces the river.   Shae and her new MIL designed and executed this gorgeous evening. 

All the details were very simplistic yet gorgeous.

They hung rattan lanterns and light weight draping,

the tables were lined in different height of glass

candles. 

The served speciality drinks, had cigars and corn hole.

Pizza and salads and ice cream for dessert. 

It was a fun a relaxing time.

We are still unpacking and digging out from the wedding.

I will share more when I get more unpacked.

What a time! 

Wedding Day!

Today is a very exciting day for our family as our youngest is marrying the man of her dreams!

We are beyond excited for these two!

Flowers and Frames

Check out this new designer series paper,

it's called Flowers and Frames.

It isn't just paper, it has pieces of frames and flowers that punch out and compliment the paper so that you can add pieces as your create.

The image above doesn't give it justice to the true colors.

You can see in my photos how bright and tropical the colors are.

I used a 3 x 3" post it pad to make a cover for this little project. 

You will want to cut your paper at 3" x 81/2", then score it 

as 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" and then at 6 1/4" x 6 1/2"

Then gently wrap around the post it.

I popped one of the flowers out of the images to add to the front

of the cover.  I used a dimensional dot to give it a 3D look. 

I also used some wave scissors to create the wave across the center.

To make the cover stay closed I cut just a little piece of magnet 

to hold the post it holder closed. 

Works great!!! 

diy decoupaged canvas bag

Back with another diy decoupage idea.

I bought these canvas bags off of Amazon.

You will also need this type of mod podge in order

for the napkins to stick to the bags.

To start brush a good amount of the mod podge to the canvas bag.

Take your napkin and cut a piece to fit your bag.

Brush the bags with the mod podge generously.

Add your napkin and gently push it across the bag.

Let dry for a good 24 hours. 

Can you believe it adheres to the bags?

They are so cute!

You can use any napkin, but remember to peel the napkins

apart so that you have a very thin layer of the napkin left to adhere

to the bags.

Garden Sign

It's been a busy week with last minute wedding details

and ALL the things.

My neighbor is part of the Woodinville Garden Tour happening this weekend where you go around to 6 different participating homes

gardens to view their gorgeous gardens and landscapes.

She decided she wanted a special quote to put on her garden shed

for the tour visitors to see.

I've been working on it for her this week,

it's finally finished and she has installed it up on the garden shed.

She added some rustic birds to the corners of the sign

that added a little charm to it.

Her garden is so magical and whimsical,

I wish you could see it, but here is a small glimpse of her

passion. 

Diy Frog

Here's a fun hack for your flower arrangements.

Use a ball jar with an open lid. 

Now see the netted bag of avocados.

Cut your net to fit your jar.

Lay it over the top of the jar

and screw the lid back on the top. 

The idea here is to make a "frog" out of the netting

to hold your flowers up. 

Beautifully holds them in place!

Diy Name Sweater

Well,  I am back with the name embroidered

sweater that I finally finished.

It was easier than I thought it would be. 

I purchased some fabric stabilizer, which is sticky with a 

backing you peel away.

I used a light box to write Amelia's name on the stabilizer.

Peel away the backing and stick it right onto the sweater. 

I used a hot pink yarn and the chain stitch to create

her name. Once you have it a embroidered, 

take the sweater and run it under warm water

til you see the stabilizer disappear.

Let your sweater dry and there you have it!
