40 Sucks!

What a great Memorial weekend!  I hope you all were able to
relax spend some time with family and friends.
My girlfriend is turning 40 and therefore I had to come
up with a cute little goodie to take to her party.
I used another one of those red tins that I got on clearance at
Target.  I put one of those green floral styrofoam blocks in the
center of the tin so that I could stick the suckers into it.
I used one whole bag of tooties pops for this project.
I'm sure she will like it cause 40 sucks!  No really, they
say you get better with age, like wine right?  LOL!!! xoxo

Hawaiian Fun!

Gonna go Hawaiian!  Love all the new Hawaiian designer
papers and theme from SU!  My friend Kirstin came
over yesterday and brought the new paper and these plastic
tubes.  We started to create and came up with these cute
Palm trees made with the Big Shot XL Flower die.
Look close at the brown coconuts on top!  They are made with
the 3/4 circle punch. The monkey is from the (retired) Foxs and
Friends stamp sets.  Once I cut the flowers out in Old Olive
I took scissors and cut slits in the petals to make it look like
a palm leaves and then used old olive and duabers to shade them.
I filled the tube with Milk Duds to make them
look like cocounts! The bottom have is just a piece of 3x4 creamy
caramel cardstock that I adhered together with brads and then
also cut the sides to give it a burlap feel. Clever Kirstin came
up with that stinkin teenie weeny bikini hangin off the of side!
so cute!  Check her out at http://www.papertreelane.com/  xoxo

Wax on Wax off!

Hi all!  Tonight's post is a fun and easy technique for you to try.  It's called
Wax on Wax off.  What you start with is a piece of glossy white cardstock.
Stamp a line art image with basic black ink, NOT staz on.  It will not work
with  this technique.  Once you stamp the image, let it dry for about 10 mins.
Once dry take a white crayon and color in the parts you will want to remain
white.   Once done you will then take a brayer and ink it up with the color
of your choice and run it over the cardstock back in forth til you get the
desired color of the ink.  Then take a piece of kleenx and wipe away the
extra ink from the image that is to remain white.  Then take and decorate
the rest of the card.  The stamp set used here is the Fifth Avenue Floral.
You can see in the photo above where I have colored the rose in with
the white crayon.   Have fun trying this!  If you have questions let me know! xoxo

Happy Friday!  I have had my niece Lauren over for the
last few days and have been laughing my head off! I tell
you... 20 yr olds just crack me up!  I found these cute
little note pads in the dollar spot at your and my favorite
bargaining hole- Target.  On the front of them are
a face of a girl but I just took the Big Shot oval die
and cute out the black and white to cover it up.
I then took the stamp set Tote-ally-Tess out and postitioned
her in the center.  I got out the watercolor crayons and blender
pens and watercolored her in.  The saying was already on the
pad so that what easy!  Have a great weekend and thanks for

Loads of Love

Little Loads of Love stamp set,  I haven't had this
one out in a looong time!  I think I will stamp some
more with it in the upcoming days.   Anywho,  the
background is made by using the brocade blue
cardstock and night of navy ink.  I took the sponge
dauber and smudged the ink across the paper and
the edges to get this effect.  The designer paper
is the so saffron as well as the piece that is backed
on the car.  The rims are the large silver brads and
the card is night of navy.  xoxo

Beware Pirates

Arrrrr me harties!   It's a pirate friday!  Getting ready for birthday
celebrations this weekend with the family.  Here's a quick little

Beware Pirates set and the Gratutious Graffiti background

that burned look and then used basic black in to smudge
on the sides with a sponge dauber.  xoxo

Garden Seeds

So I found these adorable very small seed packets at
the dollar spot at Target.  They are ever so small and
so I found that they fit perfectly inside our small
glassine bags.  I then stacked three on top of each other and
took a piece of kraft cardstock that I corrugated and
wrapped it around all three packs.  Then cut a 1  1/4 in
circle out of kraft cardstock and attached it to the top
with a small old olive library clip.  I took out the stamp set
called Garden from the Heart  and used the three stamps to create the little
center piece "from my garden".  It is now ready
to give away to that special gardening friend or
teacher or just that special someone.  xoxo
