Lavender Syrup

We're getting ready for a bridal shower over here
on saturday and we are making some fun things
for the shower.
One of them is lavendar syrup for the guests
to use in their coffee's or club soda.
If you have lavender in your garden then consider yourself lucky!
Otherwise,  we ordered ours from Amazon and it came wrapped up in pretty kraft paper ready to use.
Another fun thing to make with it is lavender sugar which you can put out for your guests to use.

Put your granulated sugar in a glass jar and add sprigs of
the lavender.  It's as easy as that.
For the Lavender syrup use
2 c of water
2 c of sugar
2 T of lavender
put in pan on stove bring to a boil and then turn
down to simmer for 10 min.
While it simmers add a drop of red and blue food coloring
to make the syrup light lavender.
Once it's done simmering,
using a cheese cloth pour the liquid into a jar straining
out all the little stems and lavender seeds.
Let cool and use.  Will last up to 3 weeks.
So yummy!!!
