Gorgeous Leaves

Happy Monday!
Let's take a break from my over posting of Halloween,
the slightest feel of fall in the air and I start thinking
Halloween.
But today, I am posting a card made with one of the new
sets from the Occasion mini catalog.
It's called Gorgeous Leaves

I used the Cinnamon Cider ink pad, and crushed curry ink
to make the leaves.

Calendar Magnets

My last post for you all were the Halloween magnets
I made using the towering tumbling blocks.
The images I used for this craft is a calendar
from the Dollar Tree, on the back of the
calendar are 12 images in a small sized 2.5"
Each month changes as you can see and the images are
based on the month.
Start to cut out each and use the Tombow glue to
attach it to the blocks.

Here's the calendar, you can see all the
different images for each month.

This is the game at the Dollar Tree that you use
to make each square for each magnet.
You can get two sets of 12 magnets with
each game.

For the next step glue little pieces of wood
together to create the base of the magnet.
Then cut out and start gluing each image onto the
wood piece.

I tried three different bows on the top
of each of these holiday ones.
I can't decide which I like better!

The harvest one just has basic cotton ribbon wrapped
around the wood piece with a small bow on top.

The Thankful one has a basic jute bow

The Christmas one has a small buffalo plaid
bow on top.
All three are cute and easy to do, you just
have to decide which bows! or do them all!

This next set of three is from an entirely different
calendar.  When you go looking for the calendars at
the Dollar Tree look on the back of the calendars,
this is where these little 3" gems are located
so you can see what each image is.
This is the Farmhouse calendar
with all the cute little trucks.
I thought it would be cute to make three of each magnets and
package them up to gift away.

Give them a try!
Super cute and even the kids can do these!

Halloween Magnets

Aren't these cute?
They can be made with any type of scrapbook
paper for any occassion, I just happen to use the
new " Cute Halloween" dsp paper.

To make these head to the Dollar Tree to the kids
toy area and find these "jenga" games.
  They are called
Tumbling Tower Game at the Dollar Tree.
Open them and using a hot glue gun
use a little glue and glue three pieces together

When you cut your paper the square is about
2 7/8".  I cut mine on the paper cutter to get a
clean cut.
I like to use Tombow liquid glue to attach
the paper.

This paper is really cute and quite a few different
images you can cut out and add to the magnets.
Everything you see was cut from the paper.

On the top I added little jute ribbons
and make sure and pick up some round
magnets at the Dollar Tree too to add
to the back.

Muuuwaaaaahhh!

Delivering Cheer

Good Morning!
I've got to move on to another stamp set!
Here's another get yourself ready for Halloween card for you.

This one is the Delivering Cheer girl that I stamped added
to the Clever Cat set where I stamped the pumpkin and hat
to make her a pumpkin head!
Besides,  I don't feel so bad, Starbuck's released their
pumpkin spice latte today so all's well in the world!
Hahaaa!

To make her hold up the pumpkin head I just stamped
her arm and cut them out and popped them up.
The dress polka dots come from stamping the dress
onto the Cute Halloween dsp then cutting it out
and gluing onto the stamped on the already stamped dress.
Try this fun technique on your next card you make,
super easy and adds some color.

Clever Cat

Good Morning!
Bringing back some more Halloween cards from the Clever Cats
stamp set.
It feels too early for these cards, but for idea purposes it's not.

It's funny to me that this Halloween set has cats in it,
but this chubby cutie is pretty funny.
I made these cards a bit smaller that the standard
sizes so they could be packaged up.
They are great for your customers for stamp camps
since they are smaller and easy to make and very basic.

Each one of these images are in the set.
I stamped the main images and on all three
cards stamped the witch's hat separately
and popped it up with stampin dimensionals.

Muuuuwaaaaahhhh!

Delivering Cheer

Hello Friends!
I cut this cute card at an unusual size;
8 3/4" x 5 1/2",
I''l have to make a special sized envelope for it
to fit into.
Once I cut it, I folded it over at 3 1/4" at the top.

You can see the spacing right under her hands where's
she's holding the flowers.
Lift the paper and to begin start by stamping all three
of her legs below.
Now on a separate piece of white cardstock stamp
all three of the flower bundles and cut them out.

Color in your images;
I used the Old Olive on the greens and crumb cake
on the paper packing for the greens.
The dress is colored in with Balmy Blue.

You can life the card and write on the inside
your message.
If you like this stamp set, it is available

Yellowstone

Good Morning!
We decided on a whim to do a road trip a few weeks ago to Yellowstone.   Neither my husband nor I had ever been so we packed
up the car and drove thursday from Washington to Wyoming.
Took us 11 hours to get there but so worth it!
We arrived and stayed in Big Sky Montana at a resort
there and that night there was a concert in the Village
called Soul Shine and the most beautiful sunset.
If you look right below the sun you will see the peak of Lone Mountain, that's where we drove up to stay after the concert.

A delish little treat after such a long haul.
They had food trucks and every kind
of libation scattered around the venue.
We even took in some Huckleberry vodka lemonade.

The backdrop of this venue was spectacular.

Big Sky is one hour from Yellowstone park, so we got up friday
at 6am and made our way to the park.
We were told by so many people that we would have long lines throughout the park and long waits to see things.
We literally breezed through the park all day long.  It was very quiet.

I had no idea there was a Grand Canyon of Yellowstone,
You can see the falls above our heads here and
here it is below.
It truly looked like a picture til you got closer.....

The Grand Canyon Yellowstone Falls

What would a trip to Yellowstone be without visiting
Old Faithful?
She goes off almost 20 times a day like clock work.

Here are some of the pictures from the river
we passed throughout the park throughout different
times of the day.  We saw so much wildlife too,
the bison had us held up for a good half hour as they
herded their pack across the road.

Almost every part of the river you passed throughout the park
had fly fisherman in them.

This is the Travertine Terraces of the Mammouth Hot Springs
The liquid pouring down them is sulfuric acid.
Very hot and very dangerous, but so stunning
and bright white and browns.
I believe it's limestone....

For being in the park one day, we were able to reach every
landmark that are on the top 15 to see. We breezed our way
to each one marveled at each new element and beauty.
We felt like when we left the park at 9pm we had
seen everything that you would want to see.
Of course you could spend days in the park
hiking and exploring some of the smaller lesser
know areas which we will most likely go
back to see one day.

Here's another up close.

Bison viewing,
and then up close and personal

We left the park that night and had pizza
at Wild West Pizza right at the west entrance
of the park.  Great place with live county music
and good food.  We headed back to Big Sky
and crashed for the night for our big drive home yesterday.
It was a very quick one day visit in the park with two days of
driving but SOOO worth it.
We will go back and hopefully spend more time adventuring through the park. What an amazing place!
