Teacher Appreciation DSP covered Scissors

Every Teacher can use an extra pair of scissors!  Get out your Designer Series papers,
I happened to be using the Springtime Vintage  # 121782 series.  (you have til saturday to order it!) Take your pair of scissors and measure each outside blade by tracing around the blades with a pencil, cut out and glue to blades with Tombow Adhesive.   Let dry.  Once dry take out your Crystal Effects and add a very thin coat to each blade.  Let dry.  Put scissors in a cello bag.

You can see in the photo how nice and shiney the Crystal Effects dry on the designer series paper.
Each side of the scissors blades have the designer paper on it.

These are the scissors all packaged up......

The tag is made by punching out a 2' scallop circle with Rose Red cardstock
then a 1 3/4' Old Olive Circle and then a 1 3/8 Very Vanilla Circle punch.
I used the My Digital Studio to write the "your a cut above" and printed it out onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. Add the Vintage Flower Rosettes and Old Olive ribbon and tie through the hole in the scissors

Keep your eyes open for my very first Stamp Club!  I will be hosting a My Digital Studio stamp club for all interested!  Stay tuned!

Best Eggs Ever

Good Morning! Dust off your MDS (My Digital Studio)  ladies!  I saw this idea online last year and thought it would be fun to try using the MDS.  MDS you say?  I always assume my followers know all the Stampin Up products but I know this is probably not true!  My Digital Studio is a computer program that I sell that you can create cards, scrapbook pages, photo books, calendars all at your finger tips!  After you create any of these items you print them out either at a local printing source, through Stampin Up or your own home computer.   It is a lot of fun and quite easy to use,  I promise!
You can view the MDS product to the right of my blog, there is a button to click on.

You can now either purchase the downloadable version for $39.95  order # 124483  OR the software version for $79.95 order # 118108

Here it is all packaged up.  I used the "Sunny Day Elements" to create my tag and then added the text. So Fun!

So.... I purchased a few boxes of the different colors and went to town.  Just use some wooden bamboo skewers and cello bags and tie them up!   Rainbow PEEP kabobs!  xoxo

Outdoor Easter Decor

Getting ready for Easter around here!  We took to the plastic Easter eggs to do this!  Just bought a bag of 18 at the Dollar Tree. Plastic eggs have a hole in the top making this easy to do.  Just take some white string and open the egg, run the string through the hole and tie a knot.  Then tie to the tree.   The kids had a blast doing this and it looks so cute!  xoxo

Resurrection Rolls

These are hollow dinner rolls that are to represent Jesus' empty tomb.  They are alot of fun to make for the Easter week just to eat or accompany your Easter dinner.  The are super ~YUMO!~  and the kids get a kick out of making them.
Here's what you need:
Bag of frozen Rhodes rolls
large marshmellows
cinnamon and sugar mixed together
1 /4 c of butter (melted)

Start by putting the frozen rolls on a greased cookie sheet, let thaw about 1 hr.

Once thawed, flatted by hand, add one large marshmellow to each roll and wrap around the the roll, making sure to pinch the bottom before returning to the cookie sheet.  LET RISE FOR 1 HR.  Next:  melt butter 1/4 c of butter and put in dish, now roll the rolls one by one in butter then in the cinnamon and sugar mix.  Once you have rolled them in the cinnamon sugar mix then return to the greased cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 min at 350 degrees.   Cool on a wire rack.   And eat! and let me tell you, you won't stop eating these so make sure you make a large batch!  Enjoy!  and happy Easter! xoxo

Flower Punch Easter Eggs

Now,  I know for a fact that my girlfriend Ceri is a follower of this blog and as soon as she opens this page and sees these eggs is going to laugh her head off!  I taught how to make these two years ago.  She happened to be one of the gals I taught and well, let's say she got a little crazy with the glitter and I used my Mommy voice on her!  She tells the story much better
than I,  but Ceri if you have visited my blog and now read this you can laugh hard! Here is how you make these beauties,  purhcase some of those styrofoam eggs,  straight pins, a flower punch and your choice of cardstock.  I used Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquise, So Saffron, Pink Passion  Now start punchin out flowers and attach to the eggs.  Once all are covered I sprayed the eggs with a spray adhesive and added dazzling diamonds glittler.  (Ceri's favorite stuff!)
  Have fun making these!  xoxo

Post It pack

Spring break is over and I am always sad to see the girls go back to school and have to get back into a routine.  It has been a really relaxing and fun break with them.   Here is a cute post it pack that I made.  Kirstin brought over the pattern  at our last stampin day.  The dimnesions are  8 x 5 1/2, then score at 3 3/4 turn the paper around and score at 3 3/4  again.  This will make your folder.  The outside DSP  is the Ice Cream Parlor cut at 7 3/4 x 4 3/4.  The rest you can go ahead and decorate to your liking.  The stamp set is Cheap Talk # 113403.

Here's the inside, the top is a folder for a card to fit in and below a 3 x 3 post it's.

I added one of those RSVP pens that you can slide cardstock into to add a little touch.

Here's the outside.  Again I used the DSP Ice Cream Parlour.

Large Easter Hershey Bar Cover

Hi all!  Had a fun day with Kirstin stamping, she brought over this cute idea for making these candy bar covers,  the DSP we used was the Ice Cream Parlor designer series paper from the sale a bration catalog.  I also used the Ice Cream Parlor button and ribbon pack.  Since sale a bration is now over , it is a good time to use up these products by making great Teacher appreciation gifts.  The stamp set is A Good Egg.  Dimensions are below.  The candy bar is one of those very large Hershey bars.

Here are the dimensions:  cut a piece of designer paper at 8 x 8 1/4', score at 3 1/2' and 3 7/8', then score at  7 3/8' and 7 3/4', after all scored fold together and then  at one of the bottom of the cover you will add adhesive to the one end, pinch it closed and it will give the cover a bagged look. I then went ahead and decorated the rest as you can see.  Have fun making these and thank you Kirstin for sharing them!  Sooo cute!
