Wooden Christmas Tags

Get ready for some cuteness overload!
I happen to be in a Walmart most recently and walked through
the Christmas aisle and found these adorable ornaments.

It was hard to choose the ones I did pick!
There were so many more styles to choose from.
I ended up with the ones I am sharing with you.
each one gets even better!

Little wooden houses....

Cute little reindeer.....

handlettered discs.....

I found these packages of wood tags at Micheal's,
you get 50 of them in the package for $9.99,
if you use a coupon you can get them for 40% off.

Wood tags are on sale! Snag some!

Using some scrapbook paper I covered each tag using
some glue.
Take your little charms and decide which ones will be on
what card stock design.

For the faux wood one I added the little house
and some white ribbon.

Here are a couple more....
super cute little deer.

Once you've made them you can use them on your packages
or add them to a bottle of wine or apple cider or hang them on your tree!

Diy front door Swag

Let's kick off this black friday with a fun and affordable
holiday swag you can make for your front door or used
in your home holiday decor.
I started with this beautiful green swag I found at Home Depot
all of $6.98 for four different greens.

It comes all nicely bound with rubber bands and packaged for you.
You actually could just decorate it as is but I really wanted to spread
out the swag to make it fuller and longer.
I took apart the greens and reset them how I wanted them to look then used floral wire to bind the back together.

Now your ready to decorate!
The fun part!
I had picked up these harmony bells a few weeks back at Home Goods, if you can find any there, here is a link to Amazon for you
to look at some there.
The ribbon trim is a beautiful rustic mustard that is velvet and frayed on the ends.  This I found at Walmart.
First tie your trim at the top of the swag around the wired or rubber banded area.  Then take your bells and attach them with either
wire or jute.   Literally that is it.
The swag is hanging from my door on a hook by one of the larger
branches on the swag.
I hope you try this!   So fun to kick off the season with a fresh door wreath!

Loving it!

Happy Thanksgiving

                   Happy Thanksgiving!
So thankful for you all following along with me here on my little space.
Even though it's a quiet Thanksgiving here, (just the hubs and I)
I just couldn't bring myself to set the table for two,  I ended up setting the table for four and we will just eat our dinner on one plate and move to the other spots for dessert!  Ha ha hahaa!

I used what I had on hand to set the table.
I used my tablecloth and scrunched it up in the center
and added the tall modern candlesticks and the small
hobnail rose colored candle holders in the center as well as adding small little white pumpkins and couple wood bead garlands.
The plumes you see in the center are from my yard, I cut them off of an ornamental grass that I have growing.

My wish is you have a lovely Thanksgiving whatever the
day may look like for you.
Be thankful and grateful for all the little things as hard of a year this has been for so many.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Gifts Galore: Paper Pumpkin November 2021

Take a look at this month's Paper Pumpkin,
The video gives you a step by step instructions on how to put these cute little goodie bags together.   What a great way to treat someone to
some holiday yummies.   I decided to change mine up of course.....
Always fun to have an alternative idea.

I've taken just the three different images out of the kit
to make candy bar holders.

Locally we have a chocolate company called "Theos'
Chocolates.  I am pretty sure you can now buy these chocolate
bars nationally.  Every holiday they make special holiday flavored
ones.  I picked up these called peppermint crunch.

Start off by getting some standard sized envelopes,
licked them closed and cut one end of the narrow side off
so that you can slide the candy bar in.
Some of the pieces I used are black buttons, googlie eyes, wooden
stars to decorate the snowman, christmas tree and presents.

All done!
Added the buttons and googlie eyes to the snowman,
added a little tag and wood star to the tree and a tag to the present.

So cute!
You could easily add the candy bar and a gift card
to these and add some yarn or ribbon too.

If you'd like to sign up for Paper Pumpkin you
can visit HERE  to sign up.
You can pick one month, or 3 or 6 or etc....

Framed Christmas Tree

There have been a lot of questions about how I made
these framed art trees.

Start with any printed scrapbook paper,
I used a 4x6" frame and these cute wooden
mdf cutouts are from Hobby Lobby.
You get 6 to a package.

Also pick up some white chalkpaint and a sponge brush
to paint the wooden trees, both also at your local craft stores.
When you go to paint the trees be sure to use very little
chalk paint so that the paint doesn't pool and run down the sides
of the tree.  A little goes a long way.
Take your frame and remove the paper behind the glass, add the scrapbook paper making sure it is on TOP of the glass and the glass
is under it.  You want the paper to look like fabric so it shouldn't be under the glass.
Once the paper is in place hot glue the tree right on top.
If you like rhinestones or pearls you can add them to give
the tree some ornaments.

WIT Cellars Creative Night

Tis the season for creating all kinds of holiday cheer!
Last night was nice to be able to get back to a creative night
at a local winery- WIT Cellars in Woodinville.
Fun evening hosting a creative night and wine night.
Always appreciate them having me!

We had a great turn out of gals ready to wine taste and
create some holiday decor.

Just one of the projects we were able to get accomplished.
Super cute gnome garland, we also added some holiday fabric to them.

Another project was this framed art.
I think the best part of the evening was all of us just
being together, sharing stories and the laughter.
And because we were at a winery of course we had to make
these cute little gnomies to put on wine bottles to gift.

The smiles say it all.....
so thankful for this evening with such a great group of ladies!

Christmas Target Gumball Machines

Happy wednesday!  It's been a full three days over here with monday starting out with some not so fun oral surgery.  I had to have 2 teeth grafted and a frenectomy on my gums.  Not so fun!  So a lot of resting and laying around.  With all that being said,  I sat myself down to finally paint and have fun with the gumball machines I painted back in september that I showed  HERE

If you are lucky enough to find these gems they are at your local Target stores in the dollar spot.  They come in white and red and I have only been able to find the red.   That's where spray paint or chalk paint comes in handy!   You can see by clicking on the above link how to paint these.

There is the company on called Idaho Custom Creations that sells mdf cutouts.  They have the most adorable pieces and I wish I had purchased the gingerbread people too, but I only picked up the candies.
I have been making these to gift for Christmas and they are just too cute!

Here it is the gumball machine all painted with white chalk paint
and the cute little candies that I used acrylic paint to paint them.
The candies come with two pieces, the bottom layer which I painted white and the top swirl layer which I painted every other color.

Once they are dry you just hot glue the two pieces together.
Use cell wrap to cover them and tie them off with some baker's twine.
So relaxing to do this while my mouth has been healing!
(my husband's been enjoying the silence over here!)

You can see them a little better up close...
Super cute!

You can purchase these little candies at a company called
Idaho Custom Creations

You can not only find the wood candies here, but they also have
the gumball machines  and sooooo many more cute wood cutouts to add to your 3 tier trays or changing out seasons for your gumball.
You will get hooked!  There products are adorable and afforable!
You just need some paint!
Thank me later......

Christmas wrap idea

Sharing this monday a idea for you to gift to your friends
co-workers or for a small gift ideas.
Purchase any roll of Christmas wrap and make or buy some tags
to match or go with it.

Bag up the tags and tie them around the roll or wrap to
gift to someone.
Who doesn't need wrapping paper?  It's a nice useful gift that
everyone can use.  And if they can't, well then, they can pay it forward.

You can look online on pinterest to find free printable
Christmas tags.  Print them out on cover card stock
and cut them and bag them with little cello bags.

Here's a link to some free printable Christmas tags,

Cell bags can be found on Amazon here,

Have fun gifting away!
