Do you love the Hallmark Channel movies?
Then this post and place is for you!
This is Martini Town located in Langley, BC just one
mile past the Sumas border crossing to Canada.
It is the film backlot for the Hallmark movies.
They have transformed the backlot into a little quaint town complete with a New York Street, a courthouse, diner, town square and small town. There is also snow falling, carolers, food trucks and holiday vendors.
We arrived in the late afternoon with it being a 2 hour drive
from out hometown. It was 3:30pm there, still light out
and just starting to get dark. We had a good hour to walk through the town and take pictures and take in the carolers, and vendors and snow before the sun went down.
It's fun to walk through and see all the buildings, the stores inside look so realistic as well as the buildings, but when you walk around the back to look they are literally only maybe 6ft deep.
It is so magical and festive, we loved it!
I think we were there a total of 90 minutes. Just enough time
to enjoy everything. We could have stayed until dark
but wanted and needed to get back home.
There were so many photo opportunities throughout the town, a sleigh, Santa's chair and a cute large postage stamp lit up.
This was the New York City street, the concrete looks so real
doesn't it? When you knocked on it it is hollow! Such a good fake!
This was the town square, gorgeous stately
building, but from the side, about 6ft deep.
Great props and backdrops decorated and constructed well.
These gals were called "The Dimes", they were amazing!
Sang every Christmas song you could think of.
So talented and adorable!
This was the first year that they have transformed Martini Town
into a Christmas town. Yes, they do film parts of the Hallmark Channel movies there, go check it out next year and create your own Hallmark picture moment! Soooo worth it!
