Wooden Tag/Ornaments

Good Morning friends!
Coming at you this friday morning with a super cute and easy diy ornament/tag craft for you.
Me personally, I tend to lean towards more neutral decor so keep in mind, if you prefer color then you could easily add any type of scrapbook paper to the wood tags first then add your wood images.

The wooden tags can be found at Michael's
TAGS- HERE

The wooden ornaments can also be found at Michael's, but I chose to get mine at Walmart as the box has more in it.  But I will link both...
WOODEN ornaments - HERE
(there are many small boxes to choose from)

Walmart box of ornaments
I went into the store to find my box of 27 which were only $4.99,
I couldn't find them online, but again they have alot to choose from,
here is a box of 72.

Use what you have so if you have any fabric at home tear up
little 4" pieces to tie at the top of the tags.
The fabric I used I found at the Dollar Tree, they sell
good sized 12 x 12" pieces there.

So onto how easy it is to make these!
Heat up your glue gun and let's go!
Literally just glue the image onto the tag and add
your fabric bow at the top.
THAT'S it!
Now, add to the tree, gift away, add to bottles of wine or sparkling cider, put on packages, give to co-workers.
You get it!
Have fun and send me your pics, love to see what you make!

I decided to stamp at the tags at the last minute.
If you decide to stamp something whether it's
to:/from or a saying be sure and use a permanent
ink pad like StazOn that won't bleed.
I used the black ink.

I also added jute to the top of the tag so they
could be hung if chose to be.
What do you think?

You've been Mugged!!

Fun Christmas take on "you've been Boo'd"
only it's "you've been mugged!
What is it you say?
Same concept as Halloween time, but for Christmas
you buy a mug and fill it will anything you like to gift
to your mugged person!

I found the mugs at HomeGoods and added a chocolate bar,
a holiday car freshener, some kisses, a little mirror, and two different gnome ornaments I have made.

Now comes the fun part, package it all up
and think about who you might want to mug.

I put my mugs in cello bags and attached the tag to them.
You also want to add the little sign so that they know what's going
on!  and so that they too can mug someone else!

There are many free printables for mugging someone
over on Pinterest.
Here is the one I used.
I have also heard of "you've been Elfed"
Not sure what all that entails, but be fun to check out!
Have fun mugging or Elfing someone!!!

Diy arrangement

Happy monday!
Here's another metal container diy idea for you to try.
Again, you can use any metal pail or container.
This one has handles and has the laser cutting in the middle.

I started by cutting some greens from the yard.
I found as much as I could to put into the container
as well as bare tree branches.
I also found some holly.
I used three smaller pieces of floral foam that I put into the bottom of the container so that I could push the greens into the foam.

Once I assembled the entire arrangement I added fairy lights
so you could see the lights through the laser cut words.

All finished! Added a red ribbon to finish it off.
Just keep filling your container til it looks full.
Mine turned out much bigger than I expected but I do
like how it turned out.
Now it's your turn!
Try and find a fun metal container that you can transform by using the outdoor elements and bringing them indoors or in this case on the porch!

WIT Cellars Creative Night

What a fun and festive night we had thursday night
at WIT Cellars in Woodinville.
They asked me to come do a wine and creative
class. We had a total of 15 gals sign up.
WIT always has glass or bottles of wine
for purchase and lots of space for us to spread out and make some diy projects.

\
Here's a little recap of what we created at the class
Above, the jars filled with Rosemary Maldon sea salt. with the
cute little spoons.

We also made these paper angel ornaments.

I also shared how to make these large paper bag snowflakes that you can use around your house for holiday decor.
Think, hanging a few over your Christmas tree, or in your windows or up your banister on your stairs or around a picture like I have done here.

Get ready for these, they are called
"snuggets"  covered nuggets with
hats that are made from cutting the tips
off of a pair of cotton gloves and slightly glued
to the nugget.  Draw your snowman face and add
a carrot nose.  I used some pink chalk to shade in pink.

And last but not least these wooden ornaments.
Thank you WIT for having me~

Reindeer Gift card idea

Let's have some fun!
In need of a gift card holder?
Something different?
Try this one.....

Get a glass or plastic round ornament, some pipe cleaner in either black or brown, a red pom pom for the nose and some stuffing.

I used a pencil to stuff the ornament with the brown stuffing,
Quick and easy to do.

Using a hot glue gun, glue the eyes, nose on.
Take the pipe cleaners and wrap around the top of the silver
part of the ornament, secure the antlers with just a bit of glue.
Add your googlie eyes and nose and you're done!

You can cut a few little extra pieces of pipe cleaners to twist
around the antlers to make the antlers fuller.
I picked up some Chic-fil-A gift cards to attach
to the reindeer.

Just use a little dot of hot clue on the card and push the ormament
down onto the card and now your reindeer will stand up!!

How cute is he!!!
Rudolph!

Now you're ready to gift away!
Wouldn't you agree? nice and easy and cute!

Gnome gift idea

Do you just love the cuteness of all the gnome themed things available for christmas?
There are so many cute pieces you can put together to gift to your friends, co-workers or neighbors.
I picked up these cute gnomes and gnome pot holders, a wisk and a little card to tuck onto the gift.

The christmas card I attached to the gift with these wire deer paper clips I had on hand from Stampin Up!

Here they are up close.....

Here it is all put together, I stuffed the gnome inside of the oven mitt and added the whisk and attached the card.

These items were all found at the Dollar Tree with the exception to gnome card.  You could also add a little package of those Betty Crocker cookie packs.
Super cute gift!

Yuletide Tree Farm

Happy Monday!
I've been slow to get my decorating on over here.
Not sure if my tastes are changing, but most of the
decor that I have taken out of storage is not speaking to me
for some reason.
Buuuut..... this cute metal pail was sitting in the garage with
gardening tools in it...
and as I always say, use what you have.

I took a look through my christmas decor and found a bunch of
my bottle brush trees and decided to stack them in the pail.

I purchased most all of these bottle brush trees from the Dollar Tree,
so if you are looking, you can find them there.
They also have some great tins similar to the mine with the exception of the saying on the front.

I filled the pail with kraft mailing paper that I had in my garage,
then just tucked each tree within the pail.

This white and wood tree I found at HomeGoods
just a week ago.
I'm trying to bring the natural hygge style christmas to my home.
If you haven't heard of "hygge" style, pronounced like
"hue-gah", is a Danish concept that focuses on enjoying life's small details.   It is often seen as "coziness" or "togetherness."  Hygge aims to find joy and happiness in everyday moments shared with the ones we love.
Warmth is a key part of the hygge design.  A combo of flickering candles and ambient lighting gives your space a welcoming glow.
It's a balance of minimalism, soft textures, and nature.
Your spaces should reflect a more relaxed and pared-down feel to best minimize any distracting items.  The less is more approach.
