Happy Halloween! and Banner Class

Happy Halloween all!  Have a fang-tastic day celebrating!
Getting ready for some Halloween fun! we made these Bloody Glasses today so they would dry overnight for our "spooky" dinner tomorrow night.  Look for the recipe below.  It just took a few minutes to mix up and dip into the mixture.
Red Caramel Blood Drips
1 C of sugar
1/2 light corn syrup
1/4 c of hot water
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and stir until sugar is moistenend.  Heat saucepan over medium heat until mixture reaches soft boiling stage, about 4 to 6 minutes.  Remove from heat and cool completely.  Once cooled take your glasses and lightly dip them in the mixture, set upright to dry.  (you don't want to have much on the glass, just a little bit so that it runs down the glass slightly.  Allow caramel to dry overnight if possible.

There is still room in this friday's Fall Banner class, email me to register, juliepitta@rocketmail.com
The class is this friday, Nov 2nd at 10 am to noon - cost is $20.00

  1. Happy (day after) Halloween to you! I've been busy visiting all the virtual Halloween parties on different blogs. You know how I'm always joking about 'great minds think alike'. Well, we have the same drinking glasses! Except mine don't have blood dripping off of them! :o)
