Look at this new Festive Farmhouse designer paper

The wood looks so realistic

I've paired it with the (of course, you aren't surprised!)

Country Home stamp set

This is a super easy card to complete

All I have done is stamped in black ink in the very corners

of the wood paper and used my blender pens to add 

Mossy Meadow green ink and stamp the salutation in 

the center of the card

I added the linen thread through the top of the card and 

backed the card on Mossy Meadow cardstock

Go ahead! give it a try!

How cute is the pitcher in the Country Home set

I was able to just stamp a portion of the flowers on a separate

piece of paper then fussy cut it out. to pop it up I used dimensionals onto the tag where I had stamped the pitcher.

The background is made with the embossing folder called Brick Wall, I used a white ink pad and gently rubbed it all over the bricks to white wash it.

One card two ways.....

All the words you see are from the (yes! again!)

new stamp set Country Home

I randomly stamped the words all over the front of the card

For this one I cut the Sahara Sand cardstock and then stamped all the words in Granite Gray.

The leaves are from the new punch 

The second card is on Whisper White cardstock

and all the words are stamped in basic black ink

I used the same leave punch with a black ribbon

simple, simple, simple!!!

These cards make great make and take ideas as well as first time stamper ideas.  I think they would be really cute in fall/autumn colors too.  Give it a try!

So long, never good bye

I took this house stamp from the new Farmhouse Christmas set to create this welcome to your new home card for my girlfriend who is moving to Arizona (insert sad face :( )

I challenge you to look at your current stamp sets and see how you can use them to create the cards you need.  

I rarely ever need a welcome to your new home card, but look at that!  the house worked perfectly!

I used a blender pen and added Garden Green to the shutters of the home and Sahara Sand ink color to the roof.

Super easy! 

Here are the four of us, these friendships span over 30 years.

It was much more difficult to say so long than we thought.

I always say, never goodbye, always so long.

There were tears, ugly tears. 

 But we all now have a place to go visit!

Yes,  all the pieces you see here are in the set.

I used a brushed silver paper and embossed in silver the canister

I used the aqua painter again with the crumb cake, mossy meadow and sahara sand ink colors.

Happy monday friends!

I have been creating again with the Country Home

set again.  Can't put it down!

I stamped the canister and flowers in black then used the 

Aqua Painter to water color some neutral colors with a pop of 

mossy meadow green color. 

 The other colors are Sahara Sand

and Crumb Cake

Of course I squealed with delight with it annoucing a reveal of next month's Paper Pumpkin being Halloween themed!

I love it

I find peace and solitude when I'm paddling and just thinking and collecting my thoughts

This is a lake that I live close to so I am able to go often

This is the beautiful sun setting the other night

You can almost tell summer is coming to a close with the sun going down so much eariler.

Well, as much as I didn't want to, I took a break from the Country Home stamp set to show you a sneak peek at what we are making tomorrow at Creative Class

I just stamped it in black in and used the blender pen to add some color, very neutral colors.

Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadows and Crumb Cake

I used the clear Wink of Stella pen on the areas where the 

cotton is to give it a little pop as you can see below

It just gives it a slight glisten

The threading is the linen thread, nice and skinny for just a touch of texture to the card

I always get questions on how to shade around the base of things

Do you have a Aqua painter?  It is a pen brush that you load with water or ink.  I usually load my with water and gently wisked it through the ink pad color to pick up a little ink, then lightly brush around the base of the stamped object.  Seriously,  it's that easy.  I'll post a pic of the Aqua painter below too.

is a shop I decided to open to honor the home where I was raised. 2340 West Newton was our address at our home Magnolia, WA

It is the house that built me.... the house I grew up in. 

The house where my story began.  I have so many fond memories there; celebrations, silliness, laughter, love, but with all of us in our stories, heartbreak.

We all have our own story.  One which we each can only realte to.  One we stay attached to....AND we stay attached to our story, and that keeps us from growing and living. 

 Sharing and growing through the process of our stories is the bravest thing we will ever do.  It creates healing and growing with us we never knew existed.  

I knew that even though the struggles were real and hard, that I surely appreciated the happier times there and wanted to honor my Mom and Dad and all they did to make our family life fun and full of love.   That's where 2340 West Newton emerged from.
