Creative Class

Happy saturday morning friends!
Yesterdar morning was creative class and it was sooo time
to bring on our fall game!
In the picutre above we made the treat boxes filled with fresh
peanut butter cookes.   The little pumpkins on top are have a clip on them and can be clipped to anything.
I found them at the Dollar Tree, they come in white, red and orange

This little guy is made with the Curvy Keepsake framelit that is used with the Big Shot machine.  I simply cut a 1/4" strip of burlap and folded it over for the hat and hot glued it on.  The crow is a bird punch from Stampin Up! We used a sponge dauber to add the cute little blushed cheeks and hand drew on the rest.
We filled the holders with chocolates

This bright orange pumpkin is the before.....
The pumpkins are from the Dollar Tree
After adding two coats of white chalk paint
 (I used Rustoleum from Lowe's)
it covered the pumpkins completely.
I went out the yard and cut a few branches for the stems.
The original stem pops right off the top, it is just adhered with a toothpick.  So it easily removes so you can add the branch.
I did use a exacto knife to carefully cut the hole just a little bit bigger to fit the new branch.
To distress the pumpkins I used Valspar Antiquing Wax
(also at Lowe's)
While you are at the Dollar Tree pick up some of their paint brushes and use it to distress the pumpkins with the wax
A little of the wax goes a looooong way!
If you don't want to buy the wax you can always purchase a very dark brown acrylic paint
(you know the small cheap paint bottles at Michael's)
as an alternative.  I just always have the antiquing wax on hand and choose to use it.

And here they are all done in all their glory!!!
Happy fall ya'll!!!
