Wood Beads and Towels

I love to get to share the way you all use my wood beads to
decorate your spaces with!
Here are a few recent pics in different decor spaces
where you have decorated with my wood bead garlands.
I like to get to show you these ideas as I get many
questions on how to use or decorate with them.
As you can see they fit into many types of home decor....

The kitchen below has one of my kitchen towels
adorning the dishwasher.
I love how traditional the kitchen is and how this customer
incorporated the farmhouse towels.
Looks fabulous!

There are still towels available in my shop
for you to browse as well as the wood bead garlands.

Look for new towels coming in the month ahead for 2019!

Looking for wood bead garlands?
They are still available as well
Come check them out here

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas sweet friends!
John 3:16  .....

 My idea of Christmas,
whether old-fashioned or modern is very simple: loving others.
Come to think of it, why do we have to wait
for Christmas to do that? - Bob Hope

Living this truth everyday......

Wishing you all wonderful day!
Christmas is a necessity, there has to be at least one day of
year to remind us that we're here for something else
bedsides ourselves.....

The other day we did a quick morning hike
to Gold Creek Pond Trail
Like my silly emoji glasses?!!!
Our Daughter was here 15 hours prior taking photos of a lake
that was clear as glass.
Today when we arrived (as you can see in the pics)
The lake has completely froze over, AND....
of course my husband decides to stand out on it!
I told him I would NOT save him!  (haahaha!!)

Completely froze over and stunning views

To family and friends near and far
Merry Christmas from the Pitta's!

DIY Oranges

Kick off your sunday trying out a hand at making these
diy oranges.   You can see my step by step video below
that went live with Zulily on Facebook yesterday
You guys these are super fun and easy and smell soooo
delish!

For this votive one that I made I just cut the very top of
the orange off and took a spoon and scooped out just a bit of the
orange inside and then tucked the tea light inside.
Using the fresh cloves, you just slowly add them
around the orange.
These oranges will last for a good month.
They dry out very slowly.....

Check out the video below to view how
to make the smell good oranges

In the video I give you three different ideas and ways
you can peel away the orange peel.
Above you will see the Rollerball that I use to make
my designs in the orange.  Make sure and view the video
to hear the others ideas for you.

I hope you had fun watching the video and getting new
ideas for home decor and gifts for christmas.

DIY Ornaments

I'm so excited to share with you the segment I will be doing live
today with Zulily!  If you follow them on Facebook you will be able to watch me live showing you how to make these super easy ornaments!   If you head over to Facebook and click on Zulily I believe we will go live at 9:30 am pacific standard time!!

**** The video is up, you can view below! *****

I will be sharing this super easy clear ornament you can make simply by just adding snowflakes, ribbon and a vinyl word to.

The next ornaments will also be made by using
clear christmas ornaments and acrylic craft paint.
I will be posting the live video here later today so
you can go back and view how to make these beauties.
The one above is made with white and metallic copper paint.

I wanted to use a little vintage color vibe on this one.
I started with white then the red and blue.

Each one turns out so completely different just by swirling
the paint around in the glass ball.
I hope you try to make these.  I also will be showing on the live
how to make these super easy glitter ornaments too.
Once you get started you won't be able to stop!

JOY box

These little 2 x 2" boxes would be cute on your Christmas table, or for your co-workers or just to give out!
They are filled with wrapped dove truffles.

I used some buffalo plaid paper to wrap the boxes with
and using a 1 3/4" circle punch for the outer circle, for the inner
circle I used the 1 1/4" punch.
You can stamp any work in the circle you have on hand.
I used the new sprig punch to create the greens.
These are very easy to create and make great little gifts

DIY Ornaments

These ornaments were made at the last
creative class.  They are fun a quick to make
You can by the half globes at your local
craft store, I found mine at Michael's

I used the Big Shot machine to cut out the scalloped
backing to the ornament.  The size of my ornament
globe required me to cut my scallop circle at 2 1/4"
I then separately cut a piece of white cardstock for inside
scene at 2" then stamped the trees for the winter scene.

Use a craft glue such as Tombow liquid glue to attach the
paper to the clear globe.  If you tried to use a hot glue gun you
would be bubbles of glue along the side of the ornament.

I put a teaspoon of snow flakes in the ornament
make sure you put them in before you glue it together!

Here are the pieces you will need to make these ornaments.

Annual Christmas Luncheon

Our annual luncheon was this past weekend,
we have been getting our kids and selves together
now for over 18 years.
Most of us live an hour and half away from each other, but
for one day a year we are all able to come together to
eat, laugh, share and make some projects to celebrate the
season.
For those of you who have followed over the years,
you can see how grown up they all are!
This year we were missing two as my girlfriend Susan
has moved to Arizona, and her daughter, (insert sad face)
The oldest girl is now 26 and the youngest in the group 12!

And well us,
we are still a bunch of spring chickens!  hahaaa!

My husband is usually mia for the luncheon but smelled
the lunch food and got detained at the table for a bit.

All smiles, plenty of food, laughter and lots of cheer!
Love this continuous tradition!

Mini Starbucks Cups

Hello sweet friends!
First I want to share with you these crates that one of my
followers Marcie Brozovich sent to me.  Look at
the beautiful way she decorated these crates!
I love the different plaid papers she used as well as the delicate little pine cones with hollyberrys.
But I think what caught my eye most is the clever way she created the handle, take a look closely.....
she used a little wood branch!!!  Love everything about this!
Way to go Marcie!!
Thank you for sharing your creative mind with us!

Sharing some of the mini Starbucks cups that I make annually
for different pop up shops I partake in.
Yes,  they are also for ordering, so if you would like to order
some email me at juliepitta@rocketmail.com
They are $3 each and make great table placement gifts, teacher gifts, co-workers, etc!!
They are filled with Hershey kisses....

Reindeer Socks

I found these adorable reindeer socks at Old Navy
and picked up quite a few pairs for gifts and to sell
at my pop up shops this past week.

Aren't they comfy and cozy looking?
I packaged them up in a 4 x 6" cello bag
that I folded over in the box and stapled shut.
I added the reindeer paper clips and used
glimmer red brads that I cut the backs off
and glued them to the deer heads.
Soooo cute!

Reindeer paper clips......
