Spent the past weekend over in Cle Elum
in the Cascade mountains.
There is a town called Roslyn known for being used
for the filming of the old television show
Northern Exposure.
It is a quaint town, very small and cute little shops, one
being Fused a glass shop.
There you can fuse glass pieces together to create objects that are melted at a high temperature in a kiln.
We decided to make some Halloween projects.
You start with a back piece that can either be a tray, a picture a bowl, whatever you want to create your object on.
I decided to create a cat tray.
You can see at the top of the picture where you cut the small pieces of glass and then you lay them where you want them to be.
This is actually the quick part, deciding what to make takes the longest!
Once you have your design all done it is heated overnight in the kiln and cooled down by the next day.
Here is the cat and below is the tray my friend Terri made.
Quite spooky!
The next morning we got up and went to the Fall Festival they had going on there for some hayrides, pumpkin patches and lots of yummy food.
Back at the house we painted these canvases.
I love how everyone's looks just a little bit different!
If anything, Fall is possibly the most gorgeous season.
These few picks are from the Fall Festival
So many unusual pumpkins in the p-patch
